Hello,
I was wondering for conditions of admission for UCSB it states maintain an overall GPA of 3.0
If I get under a 3.0 (2.75) for just spring but my cumulative and transferrable GPA is still above 3.0 will I get rescinded?
I didn’t get any D’s for Spring semester. Just one C which brought my GPA down by a lot.
Any information is appreciated.
It is a 3.0 weighted GPA. So if one of your classes gave you a GPA boost because it was an AP class or UC approved honors class, you should be fine

So your cumulative and transferrable GPA doesn’t really matter for this requirement.
Hopefully your weighted GPA is over a 3.0 but if not you should have contacted them as soon as you knew your grade back in June. In the best of worlds they’d tell you it doesn’t matter. But sometimes it does. In which case they may offer the chance to take a makeup class over the summer either at your HS or a CC. But if you wait until they see your transcripts in August that option won’t be possible, it may already be too late.
