UCSB Transfer As A Regular Applicant

Hey all,

I'm stuck in a ****ty situation right now. After visiting UCSB, I realized how much I want to end up there. I left SFSU with a 2.66 and 36 units (upward trend? I flopped my first semester, and made deans list my last semester). I am now at CCSF and have a 3.8 with 12 units, and I'm taking another 16 units this semester with high expectations for myself.

As of now, my cumulative GPA stands at a 2.9. I can only get it up to a 3.0 after this semester, but will be transfer ready having completed all the IGETC requirements.

My counselor at city said that UCSB would be an extreme longshot for me, and that really blows.

I'm looking for a second opinion. Does anyone have any experience with situations similar to this? Would it be unrealistic for me to still want to end up at SB? Thanks, OF

you’ll get into UCSB with comm st as your major (i remember)

especially with IGETC completed and an upward trend. these counselors are so out of touch.

do you wear supreme?
