Another question, do they accept people by majors?
@liaaa I am a teacher and I know for sure that I saw of my student’s college acceptances get resended due truancy…colleges now a day look at everything, and all admissions are conditional so if you are a conditional admission know that grades/ attendance will play a big part …
@Nonomom thx for the response. In the last three years I barely bad any absences. But my second semester this year I have many excused absences ( like around 20?) and I think at most 3 unexcued absences( including tardies). Do u think that could decrease my chance of getting in?

I also have A LOT of excused absences and I know that if they are excused it does not count as truency. I really wouldn’t worry about it too much. The most important thing is just to keep your grades up. I actually had the same question about if they accepted people by major, and I emailed UCSC admissions a couple weeks ago. They told me that your major is just one of the many factors they look at when deciding to offer you admission from the waitlist. I dont know if that really answers your question but I hope it helps.
does anyone know around when the next wave will be released? or if they are even releasing more?
My school counselor talked to admissions on Thursday and she said that they said they will be releasing until mid June.
My daughter’s school at least 4 kids got of the wait list
I received an email on May 22nd that I had been taken off the waitlist and accepted but I have decided to decline my offer of admission today, May 27th, as I have decided to attend a different school.
I think they will let the next round of people off after may 28th or a few days after cause that was the deadline to accept for the people that got off the waitlist the 22
D got off from the waitlist to her primary major (Business Management Economics) on May 22nd and accepted it. Good luck to all!

@diana022 Back to 2016, there were 3 waves: 2016/05/04; 05/13; 06/02 roughly. And, by now, we have 2019/05/10, 05/22 - probably 05/31 for 3rd wave. Good luck!
once that is done is it over? or do thay still continue offering spots if available? i know a few kids who have accepted from UCSC but arent planning on attending but haven’t let the school know yet as they are still on the fence… what happens if they don’t go? does UCSC offer their spots later in the summer?
I believe after the last wave, that’ll be all. I also believe the spots from the students who have SIR’ed but end up not attending/registering will be just written off by the school, i.e. they won’t be offered to whoever left on the waitlist especially late into the summer. Those who know can confirm/dispute my understanding, please.

I haven’t heard anything I’m scared. Hopefully they release the waitlist offers soon!
I’m guessing that the next wave might come out tomorrow. It’s usually around 5pm. If not I’m not sure ! Good luck to everyone 
Any news? So far at least two kids from my school were accepted off of the waitlist and have chosen to attend from the wave on May 21.
