UCSC - Class of 2013

What terrible things have you heard about the village?

Eh, I exaggerated and can’t back up that statement lol. However, all the people I talked with about housing didn’t recommend the Village.

Argh, I literally have just enough to pay for tuition, fees and housing. No money left over to buy books or for any other expenses. This sucks, I cant believe the deadline is tomorrow too.

Just turned in my housing application. Village peeps, see you there.

:/ just got admitted to UCD.
Don’t know what to do now.

HI!
I’m 20, majoring in History, maybe European history and perhaps double majoring in Archaeology. I’ll be living in the transfer community. The Village doesn’t sound appealing and I wanted to live in the University Town Center since we get private bathrooms but I changed my mind. I want the full college experience even if it means sharing bathrooms with 20 other people. I got into College nine (my second choice) but whatever. I don’t even think it matters. Oh, and I’m from the LA area

i MUST have my own toilet.

why is there only one orientation date for transfers and like 6 for frosh? this bothers me because I was waiting on the status of my appeal to UCSB (wanted to stay in so-cal =/) so I didn’t want to sign up for the orientation date till I heard back, but it wasn’t approved and now I’m off to a bad start for registering to classes and etc. I’m gonna call asking them what I should do.

They’re going to send you something called Next Step pdf which basically tells you to e-mail/call your advisor for help.

Submitted SIR May 1st

Got in as a Biological Sciences (BS)… but am going to switch to Molecular Cell and Developmental BS…

On campus in transfer community  CAN’T WAIT! It is a little expensive, but its easier to live on campus than off… Closer to classes and i love sleep so…its a must! plus food is included if you get a meal plan, which is REALLY expensive if you live off campus (I currently buy my own food… i usually spend $300 every few weeks on food…its so expensive! adds up quickly!)

Oh yeah, I am 22 and my college affiliation is College 8
