Do I fall under any category to get a call?
I am an OOS asian with a 31 ACT and 2080/1390 SAT 4.13 GPA
Can everyone please share their info if they receive a call?

@jackisawesome I got rejected from San Jose State and accepted to SDSU. A big gap in competitiveness but it just depends on the colleges. They have different criteria to judge applicants. The Cal states are much different from the UC’s since UC’s use EC’s and personal statements. Your fine, especially with your stats.
@tomatoes124 I wouldn’t count on getting a call (though who knows, you may!) but that doesn’t mean you won’t be accepted. We will know in a week and a half.
@jackisawesome: I haven’t even heard back from Michigan. Did you do EA?
I received a call!!! BUT I WAS ASLEEP. The number started with 858 and linked me to the name of the actual person who coordinated our event. DARN YOU EXHAUSTION

If you missed a call from a weird number, how do you guys know that it’s from UCSD? Does it have like a specific first 3 digits?
What exactly does the call say? I happened to miss mine
@jinae it will probably be either a 760 or 858 number (though most likely 858). Those are the local area codes. xx

@jackisawesome Don’t worry, a lot of people from my school have actually been rejected from Cal Poly SLO but accepted to UCB/UCLA in previous years. Cal Poly SLO sometimes rejects students with higher stats who they believe will go to other schools. It’s all about their yield!
