@kaatherinee UCSB is only up for whoever got the Chancellor’s Reception invitation
@Andrew545
I’m in at muir
@baileeh1 no nobody has actually received an official rejection letter
Do you think they would release on a Saturday ?
@nainakajol someone said that last year decisions came out during the weekend
ACCEPTED! International student with 2010 SAT. I got in to my alternate major and Muir college!
Congrats all!
@pleaseacceptme99 I really really hope they do. I need to know already
@nainakajol me too girl. I need to know quickly.
I’ve been thinking it over and I think that if I don’t get a decision this weekend, it’s probably over.
-
If a college wants you, they accept you. They tell you sooner rather than later. They try to get to you before the other colleges do. That’s why people get accepted early when they get major scholarships.
-
If they put off rejecting you, like if they hypothetically waited until the last week of March, you’ll probably have been accepted to other colleges and moved on, thus saving them from a few more appeals and such.
So do we believe that the rest of the results will be posted this weekend? Do you guys think that the March 30th kids (like me) are the rejects D:
Yes I’m certain us March 30 are the reject bunch
Anyway you slice it those who were getting accepted have already been accepted. About 30-40 percent of the people on here got accepted the rest of us (60 percent) got the March 30. Although we are a small sample pool the numbers make sense they correlate with ucsd’s acceptance rate
The reality is most of us were going to get rejected and this is us the March 30 crowd
Since everyone is really stressed out right now, I thought maybe I’ll give you guys a gleam of hope with my not-so-spectacular stats.

Extra curriculars & volunteering service:

My Essays: I would give myself 10/10 for my essays and I think it’s the main factor that got me into UCSD. I talked about my experience of moving to America since I was 9 and a half; how I improved my English communication skills rapidly. The struggles that I went through such as getting teased for having an accent and such. But I overcame those fears and was placed in the top 9% of my senior class. My second essay I wrote about my experience of helping a club my friend created in another school and we cooked food for the homeless in downtown.
ACCEPTED: UCSD, WAITLISTED: UCDavis, Rejected: SDSU
I got into Eleanor Roosevelt College
Yay finally done! Still waiting for 2 more schools.
@jackisawesome I haven’t heard anything yet either
@jindaltanya I’m also a neuroscience major that hasn’t heard back yet
Accepted! Got into Warren.
FYI guys: I didn’t receive an email, I checked my application status on the UCSD portal.
I had to make a new account to do so with my UC app ID.
Good luck to you all!
Accepted, Computer Science, John Muir. (International)
Does anyone know if they’ve processed financial aid yet? I got accepted and my initial estimate says they’re not giving me any money, but I’m confident I should be receiving some sort of aid.
@MadisonD
