I think I’m going to call the admissions office on Monday and see if I can get a real answer about the timeline of decisions. I’m not really sure why they couldn’t have done another wave of decisions last night especially as last year they released all decisions on the same day. I’d like to know their reasoning.
I also wonder if I called whether or not they’d tell me my admissions decision? I suppose it’s worth trying.
It is so disheartening and so cruel on the school’s part to this to us!
@freakingout98 love your username XD and it honestly is making me feel worse. I’m happy that UC Davis was straight forward with their decision but I really do not see the point of UCSD holding our decisions from us you know?

According to http://admissions.ucsd.edu/contact/ the admissions office is open from 9-4 on Monday-Thursday and 12-4 on Friday. I think the earliest we can expect to hear back is 9 AM on Monday.
@laurano24 haha thanks and ikr!! A bunch of ppl are saying this means a rejection/waitlist while others say there are some acceptances in the next few waves. I dont know what to believe! ucsd should just tell us at least that

I agree with @iyannastark we should all send them a msg because there is strength in numbers. They should seriously just let us know there’s no point in torturing a bunch of anxious high school students.
As optimistic as I want to be, my four friends who have heard back have all been accepted. And they all have pretty good stats for UCSD. Everyone else I know who has not heard back yet doesn’t have GPAs as high.
I can shoot them an email later today. 
All of the people I know who applied were all accepted yesterday which doesn’t give me a lot of hope

I am really trying to keep hope (which I advise ALL OF YOU TO TRY), but with the large streams of negativity running through this forum, it is pretty hard. For the remainder of the day, I will try to stay away from this forum as I think that it is somewhat unhealthy atm (plagued by depression) and I would advise all of you to do the same.
@selectyour What I am thinking is that they accepted the definites today. It kind of explains why there weren’t that many that received supplementals accepted so far (although a few were). But I seriously doubt that UCSD would devote 2 days to depressing decisions. It’s either going in order of best to worst stats (which does not mean rejection, as many matches have not been accepted) or it is pretty random. I know people with average (for UCSD) standardized testing and 4.5 UC GPAs that haven’t heard anything back yet (and I am talking more than 5 people); people who got UCSB regents and UCI honors. While y’all may not know many who have not received a questionaire, hopefully this information is a help.

thx @gonewiththeair you too! We got this and @waitingforresults I believe that it may be a possibility. I checked my portal at 12 AM and it said that they were updating something. While this was a much shorter time span for updating than it was on Friday, I believe that it will be updated at 12 PM or 3 PM.
@jackisawesome we are all glad to have you here. this is a very difficult time many of us are going through, and it is important to keep in mind that many of are in fact going through the same thing. that being said, we are all here to support each other. stay positive!
