@IBGuy101 faculty and students are calling until the 6th, then just students until the 11th. Alumni start calling accepted students the 14th.
Does anyone know if they send out calls in alphabetical order? Ik I’m in the top five percent of ucla applicants (received alumni scholarship invite) so I’d very much hope/figure I’d be in the top third of ucsd admits. I haven’t gotten a call but my last name starts with S, so I as wondering
I doubt it @fondbutnotinlove The person ik who got a call had a last name that started with an S; I would assume random order.
Additionally, I don’t think that getting an alumni scholarship invite means that you are in the top 5% of applicants for UCLA, as ik a few people who got it and were definitely not top 5% (they are worried of rejection from UCLA)
My last name starts with a P and I’ve had some missed calls yesterday and today. My sister answered once, and yes it was from UCSD with good news 
but I have to be the one answering so they can tell me I’m accepted.
Does anyone know if they call the permanent and current address phone numbers or just one of them? @cpretiz

@ccuser101 what does the caller ID say? Does it actually say UCSD? Because I’m looking at my missed calls from today and there’s numbers I haven’t seen before, but caller ID doesn’t actually say ucsd or anything.
@alphabetatrig The area code is 858, and underneath, it says the following: “La Jolla, CA.” I called back and got the good news. Hope this helps

You may also receive a call from a non 858 or 760 number. People on the alumni board do calls from their personal phones and those don’t always have UCSD-area phone numbers. While it is far more likely that you will be receiving a call from an 858 or 760 number it’s entirely possible to receive a call from a completely different area code.

Ahh I really hope it’s random!! My last name starts with a C so if it was alphabetical, I probably wouldn’t be getting a call these upcoming days…I’m so anxious!!

Hey guys I made a post about this but did anyone else get an invitation for the regional receptions? I found one in my spam from yesterday. Basically its a 2 hour “exclusive opportunity to meet UC San Diego students, Admissions, Financial Aid and alumni” on March 12th.

They called my cell phone today around 4:30. My last name starts with a P. It was completely unexpected because I didn’t even know colleges considered calling, especially a school as large as a UC. If anyone is interested here are my stats: unweighted gpa 3.95, act 31, sat 1900
