UCSD Computer Store: Apple deal!

Yea, the promo ending tomorrow noon gives a rebated iPod to anyone buying a Mac. So I wanted to know if the rebate still applies for the old version of iPod when the new one came out last Tuesday already. Does anyone know?

iPod touch 4G comes out on friday

Why the **** would you want the old one?

The rebate only applies for the old iPod, it’s just a plan to sell out those old pieces of, well they’re actually pretty decent

Last but not least: Please don’t waste money on a slow and overpriced laptop.

macbook pro’s not very slow (that’s the one I’m getting), and it seems easier to handle for a computer klutz like me because it’s stronger against viruses and other stuff that I so failed at fending against.

I thought it was Tuesday, my bad.

And the old one’s not for me, my mom wants it -w-; for whatever reason.

you do realize you can walk into any retail apple store and show them any college student ID and you get $100 off ur computer, a $100 rebate on a printer and that ipod right?

They don’t include the updated iPods with the school promo. The school promo and updated iPods happening around the same time of the year has happened before and the promos applied to the iPods prior to any big updates.

And MacBook Pros are not slow by any means.

Yup they won’t give you the 4the gen… Not sure about in store but I kinda took advantage of this education discount for my mom for her macbook pro; we had to initially pay in full for the itouch aswell and then was rebated the money once they done all the paperwork and verification whatnot.

Well, the macbook pro is fast for a mac… but honestly any quad core laptop will ran laps even around the “big daddy of them all” i7 mac book pro. Oh and did I mention there’s no such thing as a quad core macbook pro with i7 or i5? They technically have anemic CPU’s with only 2 physical cores and another 2 “virtual” cores; as opposed to PC laptop’s having double of each for a grad total of 8.

Yeah, i7 macs ARE a monster. But theyre still over priced. But if you’re getting a core 2 duo mac book pro (do they still sell those?) I just got all the kexts working on my Compaq CQ61 Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Hackintosh and browsing CC with it right now. It’s AMD Athlon II Dual Core 64 3GB RAM 512 MB GDDR VRAM and 320 GB HDD all for $300. Yes, it does contain crap but it does not feel much different from a real mac besides aesthetics. I think it’s time for us to start to think about saving money and to stop downloading so much p0rn so we don’t get viruses.

lol, this aint a mac v pc thread huh?

and leukybear, is the virtual core thing like threading?

and at least they give you a rebate instead of a gift card this year for an iPod.

You got it ;)
