Just got the eBill for the Spring Quarter in my UCSD email a little while ago and noticed that none of the grant aid I usually get appears on the bill. Specifically, the 'Pell Grant,' 'Academic Competitiveness Grant,' and 'UCSD Grant-In-Aid' aren't showing up when they normally would. I don't see what could be wrong so I am enrolled in 16 units for the next quarter (as well as the last two), don't have any holds, and more than satisfy the 3.0 requirement.

A suitemate as well as a friend's roommate both have their grants in place, but neither me nor my friend do. I'll be sure to go to the FAO tomorrow to hopefully sort this out. Just wondering if anyone on CC isn't seeing grant aid where they usually would.

Yea, I'm experiencing the same problem. Could you post what the financial aid office tells you?

Just came back from class and the FAO office. According to the lady, if you didn't schedule before early last week, you wouldn't have gotten the grant monies yet since you wouldn't have fulfilled the unit requirement yet. I'm not sure when that cutoff is but I scheduled on Wednesday at 8 PM.

The money should be in your updated bill by Friday [I'm assuming she means tomorrow Friday and not next week Friday]. I'm guessing that this would be a problem that most other freshman would be facing, so here's your answer.

so two of my classes are waitlisted and it doesn't show any financial aid... would that mean i'd have to pay the full bill by the dateline if it doesn't show up? -.-

I suggest you speak to FAO office about this matter. If you don't get into one of those classes, you'll get some of your grants reduced and might run into problems with loans which require full-time attendance.

As far as I know, if you don't talk to them, you'll have to pay up the full amount and you'll get the financial aid money once you qualify for it, which they'll deposit into your account as a reimbursement of sorts.
