<p>So considering how UCs no longer require(but "recommend") the class of 2012 and beyond to submit SAT 2 Scores, will the point system be updated?</p>
<p>From what I know the 2nd thing on the point system is
(SAT + 1st SAT Subject test + 2nd SAT Subject test) x .8</p>
<p>Will that be changed now and result in a lower cutoff score? Or how are UCs looking at SAT 2's?</p>

<p>Where did you guys hear this? Was it somewhere online or did you talk to admissions officers?</p>
<p>For me, it was just online. so yeah, idk how credible that is.</p>
<p>but for sure, this year they started using holistic reviews on some of the applications (in addition to the point system). i believe they used holistic review for students that were borderline on the points. this being said, i wouldn’t be surprised if they adopted a new method of purely holistic review next year (since they already started using holistic reviews this year)</p>
