I keep freaking out that the supplementals have been sent out and I wasn't chosen. So, I thought I would make this thread so people could post when they get one. As for the other UCs, UC Berkeley has already sent out theirs (I got one) and UCLA will be sending out theirs at the end of this month (UCLA twitter Q&A). Not sure about UC Irvine, though...

I applied to Berkeley, UCLA, and UC Santa Barbara. I haven’t received any supplemental questionnaires yet. These questionnaires are supposedly for “borderline” applicants. Are you an out-of-applicant or in-state?

I’m definitely a borderline applicant so that’s why I’m hoping for them. As for my residency, I’m in-state. You?

d

I am an out-of-state applicant, and I think I’m borderline as well. I don’t really think I will get into Berkeley, but I hope that I can go to UCLA because its my number 1 choice. Can you please post if/when you hear back from UCLA?

I’m in state and so far I’ve gotten one from Davis and Berkeley. I really hope I get them from ucla and ucsd too but I haven’t so far. Let me know if you guys findout and I’ll post on this forum if I get an email from those UC’s

bindra1996: Do you know what type of supplemental questionnaire you received: borderline, talent, disability? If you don’t mind sharing, what are your stats?

Will post when I get one for UCLA or UCSD! They are taking awhile to send them out this year…Probably due to the massive influx of applicants.

tasmom: I think it was borderline, they didn’t ask if I had a disability but asked about facilities at my school and my study habits. My uc GPA is a 4.0 and my SAT is a 2000 so definitely not up to Berkeley standards. Hoping for the best, I keep checking my email to see if I’ve gotten one from ucsd or ucla

I just got a supplement from UCLA!

Does UCLA send out all of their supplements at once? I haven’t received one (yet).

I got one from UCSD but they didn’t ask for a letter of rec. still no ucla :(

Ashacheerath: I’m not sure. I remember hearing that the UC Berkeley supplements were send out in waves so maybe it’s the same for UCLA too.

bindra1996: Did you get the supplement from UCSD today?

I just got one from UC San Diego. So they’re still sending them out.

Got one from UC San Diego today. Hopefully I’ll hear from UCLA…

Would it be possible to post the stats if you think you got the supplemental because you have borderline stats?.

I’m so grateful to even be considered borderline :)

Overall GPA UW: 3.57
UW 10-12 GPA: 3.42
W GPA: Don’t know. It’s kind of complicated because of honors classes taken in different classes, retaking classes, etc.
SAT: 1st time - 1840 (610 R, 620 M, 610 W); 2nd time - 2010 (750 R, 640 M, 620 W)
Subject Tests: Literature - 690 ; Math Level 2 - 600

No APs, clubs, or awards due to several family circumstances. Began volunteering in my senior year.

@trivia24, Applicants with your SAT (2010) tent to have higher GPA’s than yours. So you could be an interesting case to them.
Good Luck! Please work hard on your replies. You have a chance!

I got it today! To anyone who needs confirmation that UCLA has send out theirs–I got it yesterday. UCLA, UCD, and UCSD have sent me the disability supplement. I applied to Berkeley, but got nothing from them. Should I be worried?

Thanks ljmom! @agreatperhaps13, I don’t know if Berkeley is sending out any more supplements because I got mine a while ago. Around Jan. 6th. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing because your decision is made. It could just as easily be an acceptance!
