Don’t worry, your space in line is still the same as before. My check also got rejected due to invalid routing number(i must have messed up a number somewhere) but I called to clear it up, and they said it does not affect your place in line. And they were right, considering I got my room selection call yesterday.

Just got my room i will be living on village east :)

I got the room layout E because i want a double and in my opinion it is the biggest double there is, i’m so happy : )
the size is pretty much 2 singles put together its the biggest doubles.

she also said there will be a view and stuff cant wait to go. i will be going on the 16th to ucsd for that transfer student thing, i cant wait to check out my room then.

my floor is also substance free housing, don’t really care much for drinking.

Yeah, looking like I’ll have to get a double. :(

I may either have to suck it up, choose substance free, hope for the best and just live with it for a year, or I could just get an off-campus one bedroom for around 1200 a month, about the same price.

Oh the Triton Transfer Connect I was going to go but after reading the Flyer it seems much more oriented toward commuters and students living off campus.

Man, I got a double in building 1 of Village East. I am so bummed to have not gotten a single! I really wanted one… I only turned in my contract 4 hours after, so I don’t understand why I didn’t get a call yesterday and instead around noon today. It suckss… If I am on the waitlist for singles, do u think that will even work??

@yepistinia: Well I may end up going off campus in the fall, in which case someone on the wait list will take my single. Granted, you’ll be stuck living with the prison warden (RA), but still.

Aww man, it seems that all the singles are taken. But I’m confused because I turned in my app an hour after I received the email (received email at 10am, turned in at 11). But still no call. Is there anyone else who has turned it in early and still hasn’t been called?

^
I submitted my contract 2 hours after receiving the email, and I have not received any calls yet.
I got an email yesterday at about 7 p.m saying that they cannot approach me by the phone number that I provided. However, I do give the right number…
I wrote an email back saying that I preferred a single and got the response this morning:

"Hi xxx,
Thank you for reply back. Unfortunately we no longer have single rooms available, but still do have many doubles available in substance free. Please let me know if you are still interested in substance free and I will send a list of available apartments. Have a pleasant day!

I called many times today, and the lady who answered the phone told me the consultant that in charge of room selection is not in her office…
bureaucracy…sigh~
