So I’m reapplying to UF (I was a PoliSci major for one semester, but I had to withdraw for financial/medical reasons). Because I’m reapplying to a different major, UF doesn’t have an online “check your status” for me I have to wait the old-fashioned way for a hard copy letter. Has anyone received their decision (hard copy letter in mail) for the online B.S. in Business Administration? I’m dying over here with no inclination! I email a lady in that department and she said I should hear back by the end of the week but I’d like to know if anyone else has received their letter yet.

Found out tonight that I was accepted! What a ride! I’m so glad that I held out as long as I did! Fellow CALS students…see ya’ll in the fall! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for a decision! They will all be out soon!

^^^Congrats and Welcome to the Gator Nation! :)

Just found out tonight I was accepted as well!!! See everyone in the fall!

Congrats! “Welcome to the Gator Nation”…music to my ears!

Even though I didn’t get accepted at first (haha)… I am a gator now too! Checked this morning and almost had a heart attack!

Congrats everyone! Go sign up for Preview and hurry up and enter the lottery for football tickets. The lottery closes next week.

How do you sign up for the Preview?

Lexi… I’m so glad to hear that you were accepted! I would have felt so bad if I got in and you didn’t. I think we have to wait for the brochure to come to register for preview

You don’t have to wait for your letter. You can sign up here [Dean of Students Office UF](http://www.dso.ufl.edu/nsfp/orientation/preview/transfer-preview)

Thanks Melissa! I’ll try tonight.

It’s not letting me yet. I guess its because I was just accepted last night.

I’m happy to hear people being accepted into CALS! I’m just frustrated I haven’t heard back yet with a core GPA of 3.9.

Kazzak…I hope you hear back soon. It can’t be much longer since they said all decisions would be out by the 15th. I was able to sign up for and pay for preview. I’m so excited! It was so hard to do stats homework last night, but if I don’t pass these last 2 classes for my AA, I certainly won’t be going to UF lol.

Thank you! & I noticed only the August 20 preview date is available… So we can only register for classes after we go to orientation… Which is the day before classes start…???

Lexii27,
Yes! So stupid! It says online that they hold spots for “critical classes” for those who are going to the later orientation. So basically we won’t know our school schedule until the night before… I’m so frustrated because I work and I have to give them notice before I just decide to take classes so… yeah.

Yea, it is a little irritating to not register for classes, but I’m kinda happy that preview isn’t til August 20th because I have to figure out my immunization records. I got my shots close to 30 years ago and no longer have my records or easy access to them. My shots where done at a military hospital and since my records are so old they are stored in Ohio or someplace and I have to write for them. They said it could take 6 weeks…I don’t have that much time. If I get them again I still have to wait 30 days between MMR doses, and I don’t have time for that either. I may have to get my titers pulled.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think getting the first dose of MMR would be good enough to at least get you enrolled. I’m sure you can call the health office for more info on that.

Also, if you pull up the form online, I think you can opt-out of almost every vaccine they ask for. I don’t remember if measles, mumps,& rubella was one of them. There is a large number of people who are against vaccines, so I don’t think you’re forced to get them.

Also, when I went to preview, there were people that didn’t have their immunizations done, but the counselor removed their hold so they could sign up for classes. With your preview only being one day before classes, I don’t know how much good that will do you though.

The MMR is required unless you submit the form saying you object. I could do that, but then if there is some sort of outbreak of say, measles, I can’t go to class. My shot records are on my HS transcripts, but they won’t take them from there. Plus my HS transcripts never made it to UF even though we sent them electronically, twice. They said they didn’t need them since I didn’t complete my foreign language requirement in HS. I was thinking of taking the paper transcripts to the health department and paying a fee to have the form filled out and stamped/signed. All the dates of the vaccinations are on the transcript.

That is an option. When I went to the health department to get my records, they said they didn’t have record of me getting my MMR. My parents save everything and found a receipt from the doctors office where I had it done saying that I paid for it. I thought it was a long shot that they would take it, but sure enough they added the MMR to my record and didn’t charge anything. In your case, a transcript with proof that you had them done seems better than just a receipt that I had.
