Here at FSU, which operates very similar to UF, it is very simple to change your major from Finance to Accounting. I am primarily an Accounting major and I’m pursing a Financing major as well and they make it pretty easy. I’m also trying to get into the Accounting school so we’ll see how it goes.

I believe it’s similar for current UF students. However, I believe I read somewhere that transfer applicants can’t switch their majors around – otherwise they would simply apply to a major that’s “easier” in order to switch to their desired major, once already a student in the school, that may be otherwise more “difficult” or “competitive”.

I hope I could switch to accounting if I get accepted as a finance student. Since they told me I qualify for the program. Ultimately I would like to start as an accounting student all the way through.

CoB finally got my AP scores. I hope I find out in the next week.

Hi everyone! So I just applied for Fall 2013 two weeks ago (march 19th I think). My major is Business and my GPA is 3.7…but I’m still finishing up my last few classes before I will have my AA (Business law & business calc) UF has received my transcripts and it says they are calculating my GPA and once my eligibility is confirmed it will be sent to my school for a final decision. Is the business program really hard to get into? did I apply too late to have much of a chance?

From what I’ve been told, if you have a 3.5+, you should be fine. And you’re within their own dates for applying, so you should be fine. The next step for you will be that you’re stuff has been referred to your college for final decision within a couple weeks. Then they’ll give you a final decision a couple weeks after that.

Has anyone that applied for Fall 2013 to the College of Engineering heard a response yet?

Finally, after months my application has been referred to my college for a final decision. I’m hoping this part doesn’t take as long.

Hello guys, are final decisions from your college only announced on Fridays or randomly throughout the week?

Hey guys,

I applied for fall 2012 to major in Microbiology. Yesterday, i recied notice that i was instructed to call the admissions office if i was scheduled to recieve my A.A before the fall which i am on May 4. After calling they said that it was a mistake on their part and that they would resend the application to the CLAS but I am wondering if I have to wait another 3 weeks for a decision?

Has this happened to anybody or know anybody that it has happened to?

Many thanks

I meant fall 2013*
