UF Fall 2013 TRANSFER

Are you sure had completed all the prerequisites? Or were some in progress?

I’ve was accepted into the FSU college of Business at the end of last spring so every prereq has been fulfilled to my knowledge.

I assume that I messed up in the process and I’m going to call about how I “may qualify for one of UF’s business majors”.

PabloCartisco: Some are in progress, but I believe his schedule is just set up that way.

RimfireHamrick: I’m in tallahassee as well, but at the community college. UF really doesn’t want to admit transfer students from other universities. UF is like a prospective parent. Freshman students are like their own children (high priority), community college transfer students are like orphans (second priority) and university transfer students are like runaways(least priority)

RimfireHamrick: I’m sorry you didn’t get in. I agree with king. UF doesn’t accept a lot of transfers from universities. It is a lot easier to transfer from a community college. You likely had better statistics than a lot of people that got accepted, which sucks.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I called today and I just changed my major to Finance and they said I should expect to be accepted within a week! I guess Accounting is just hard to get into…

In case you are now a FLORIDA GATOR! and looking for a place to live…

Because I am handing over my entire lease, it isn’t a sublease, rather will be transferred to your very own lease. This would be for Fall 2013-Summer 2014. If you do not want to stay for summer, you can then sublease on your own terms as this will now be your lease. I am giving up my lease because I have decided to move in with my boyfriend.

I live with three other girls who are very clean. They are all students at the University of Florida. We live at University Club Apartments. Here is the link: [University Club Apartments - Mobile Version](http://universityclubapts.com/)

Some of the perks: The apartment is on the second floor. If you are looking at the floor plans of the apartments, I am in room B. The complex has a swimming pool, bus route with frequent buses, 24 hour gym, 24 hour free printing center, car wash station, and valet trash (you place your trash outside your door and have it picked up that morning).

The apartment is all furnished. There is a flat screen in the living room, leather couches, table, chairs, etc. The room comes with a night stand, full size bed, dresser, desk & chair, and you would have your own bathroom. Our apartment also have vaulted ceilings!

You would have your own individual lease, and rent is 485 a month. I have a cheaper price than what is currently being offered because I signed very early. Utilities are all included, you have a monthly cap and if you go over you just have to pay the difference. No pets allowed, sorry!

Please do not hesitate to shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions, my name is Sarah.

Thanks! :)

I transferred to UF a little over a year ago and I figured I’d just try to give y’all a piece of mind. They. Take. FOREVER. I applied in August and got accepted in November. By the time I was accepted, there was only one transfer preview left. This was for CALS, which I’ve heard always takes the longest for decisions, but they are all lengthy waits.

Also, to the comment about switching your major, I had to switch from microbiology to biology. There wasn’t an issue like I thought there would be, but I also had a reason for it, not just because I “wanted to”.

Good luck to everyone, and if you have any questions, let me know!

Go Gators!

that definitely helps! thank you! I am going for CALS too, they said by May 1 Summer B will find out, they really are waiting until the last minute…

I got accepted late last night! After 2 months and 11 days.

I was reading last Fall’s thread and a girl who was going to CALS wasn’t accepted until June…ugh! The good news was that she was in a similar situation to mine with bad grades 10+ years ago and much better grades now, and she was accepted, so it gives me some hope. I just want to know so I can make alternative plans for my bachelors if I’m not accepted…plus the wait is making me crazy lol.

I applied back in early January for the Applied Physiology and Kinesiology/exercise physiology program for fall semester and heard mid February from UF that my application had be forwarded to my college and now I’m waiting to hear more. I called the other week and they said that decisions will be made at the end of April, but I wish it is sooner than that.

From what I’ve heard a lot of colleges have April 15th as the latest day that they can send out their decisions. Is anyone else applying to this college?

Congratulations to all who have been accepted and good luck to everyone else waiting to hear!

I am getting so impatient! Poolol, I hope you’re right about that deadline!

My application has finally been referred to CLAS! They received my final transcript on March 25, so it took about 3 weeks. However, my application status page has not changed to say that it has been referred over, but I called and the lady said it has already been sent. Also, from what I’ve seen on here, it should be about 2 weeks from this point, right?

Any HSAA students here who were denied as a freshman but admitted as a transfer?

Also do you think it would be possible to double major as a transfer with an AA. I asked someone at UF about it and they said I would have to complete the degree within two years since I’m a transfer.

I wish I didn’t have to wait until orientation to register. Anyone know the different requirements of Accounting vs other Business majors?

A new Facebook post on the CALS page says Fall transfer applicants will hear back no later than July 15th! Why must they wait till the last moment ??

:sob::sob:

Ughh yeah im waiting on CALS too. Feels like its been forever since i applied! I currently hold a 3.52 as a transfer still have classes to finish tho so i have a chance to raise that. Will have over 60 credit hours. Im applying for soil and water sciebce. Do i have a chance?

Ugh…so much longer lol. At least my spring grades will be posted and boost my gpa some. I guess I better pony up the cash to apply at UNF. I was going to wait til my decision from UF was in, but then it will be too late I think.

Finally after all this time I have been accepted to UF. Just when I’m all set up to go to FAU. Decisions, decisions.

I applied for CALS as well- wayy back in November. I have a 3.9 GPA at my college now, graduated from high school with a weighted 4.0 GPA. I’m going to graduate with well over 60 credits. So I’ve been working my butt off to die of a stroke because I haven’t heard anything, haha. This college is taking FOREVER considering students want to plan ahead and move. I have no back up plan so I’m praying I get in!
