Due to budget constraints, UF will admit one-third fewer transfer students. Decisions will be available beginning April 15th.

As an OOS student who is applying as a transfer, will the budget constraints help or hurt my chances of getting in? I see that there is one-third fewer spots, but it looks like they need cash, and my payment would be about 10-12 grand more per year then the in-state student.

Good luck to everyone on Tuesday, this is going to be an interesting day.

They favor in-state junior transfers. It's retarted...I know. But as long as you have good stat's you'll be admitted. I'm scared though because I'm a soph. transfer, even though I'm coming from NYU...I still think they will reject me.

A little off topic but what leads you away from NYU to UF?

I'm not going to go to UF...but if money get's too tight I may have to. NYU cost 50 grand a year and they are horrible with financial aid. I'm hoping that I get into Emory though...it's said they're a small ivy. But I'm still anxious about UF decisions ...you know?

Expect the total number of transfers to stay under 2,000 from here on out. The Legislature will never give enough money to support them.

Anyone here back from Florida yet? Today was suppose to be the big day, but nothing has changed in my "check status". Not that I really care, I got into Michigan yesterday and even if I get into UF, I won't be going there. Which means if I get in, there will be at least one spot available for someone who is waitlisted.

hey draftnik, what college did you apply to at UF. I applied to liberal arts, and they told me today that decisions wont be out for another two weeks!
