@dancer7381 Good eye! That is now missing on my daughter’s page too. Hmmm, sure seems like that means either accepted or denied (not deferred).
@rbc2018 I think, based on Graves’ blog post that a possible “decision” outcome is “deferred.” But we can hope.
My sons is missing the withdrawal application option as well. What time of day do they usually come out? Many places do it right after 5pm so no phone calls til Monday!
Where would it say “withdrawl application” mine disappeared too.
@VirginiaBelle Based on last year’s thread I think it was 4pm.
@kdzmom If they are deferred they still keep the option of withdrawing the app, that’s why I made that comment.
My D’s is also missing the “withdraw application” option.
Status still reads “awaiting decision”.
I agree with @VirginiaBelle … they will post at 5:00 and run out of the office door!
Under mine, it says "If you need to contact us regarding your application, provide your name and this reference number: "
There is nothing that says “still awaiting decision” or anything else.
@rbc2018 I hope you are right. I am expecting my D to be deferred, but there is no “withdraw app” on her portal.
@proudmom2g1b - look for the status on the right side rail, under the counselor’s picture.
Awaiting decision is under the picture of your admission rep.
@kdzmom thank you!
Where would we see “Withdraw App,” and is the thought that it is a good thing or a bad thing?
In the two acceptances my son has for other schools, it now has two boxes “Accept your admission” and “decline your admission” for other schools. I would think you could only withdraw your app before they decided. I’m not sure if for deferrals you can still withdraw it or not (I would assume so), but perhaps given the number of people who don’t have the option it’s gone for everyone until they post the decision. I would think for deferrals the “Part II” shows up on the application portal.
Anyone else have a UGA ID underneath the picture of their admissions representative and above the “Admissions Status: Awaiting Decision”?
@2002sunshine Yes I think that has been there though, so everyone probably has one.
Where would “Withdraw your application” be located? I can’t find it either but I assume it would go away for all accepted or rejected and remains for this deferred?
I sense that they just took it away for everyone, whether you were accepted, deferred, or rejected.
@2002sunshine There is a UGA ID showing in the portal.
So for anyone who has been thru UGA admissions before, how does housing work? At Georgia Tech your housing priority is determined by when you fill out the housing application and pay the housing deposit. You are then given a priority number. You don’t have to accept admission to pay the housing money so it is a way of getting a good housing number before all your decisions arrive without committing to a school. Any similar situation at UGA? How is housing priority determined?
FYI decisions will be in your portal at 4 pm EST. You don’t have to wait for the email to come to open and see the decision.
