UIUC Transfers for Fall 2015

Sure! And don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll hear back soon!

College/Major: Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences/Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences
College GPA: 3.556 (University)
School: Southern Illinois University Carbondale (Honors College), MVCC (current)
HS GPA: 3.3

I’m pretty sure the best part of my application was my research and intern experiences, tbh.

Congrats @Zoo218! When did you apply? I applied at the beginning of February and still haven’t heard back. Also, how many graded college credits did you have when applying?

Thanks! I applied Jan. 18th and I had 27 graded credits before applying. I’m sure you’ll hear back soon!

Anyone applied to UIUC CS and received decisions, can I please have your stats and decision?

@Zoo218 - Congrats! That’s awesome! I bet it feels good to finally get accepted after all this time.

One of my friends got his acceptance for chemical engineering today. Still nothing here lol

Hey guys…I applied for transfer to Computer Science major. My application was completed on March 14 and I was accepted on March 23…I cant believe i submitted app later and i found out in a week.
College GPA: 3.8
Transferable credits: 73
Community college in illinois
I am so excited about UIUC…Though, I am waiting for decisions from other colleges i applied to.

UIUC mostly accepts CS students who have more than 50 transferable credits and with 3.7+ gpa. All of my friends who have 3.7+ gpa are already accepted at UIUC. Good luck guys and I hope you all get accepted soon…

@comfortablycurt‌ I feel bad for you man. I read some of you’re earlier posts…you’ve been waiting so long! Hopefully well both get our acceptance letters soon, good luck I’m pulling for ya.

@SamBlue Did you apply to the college of engineering?

I submitted my application for aerospace engineering a couple of days before the deadline. I’m currently attending a CC in Illinois and completing an Associates in Engineering Science. I have a 3.65 GPA and I’ll have 65 credits at the time of enrollment. I don’t think my high school gpa matters for admissionuanymore but it was a 4.1 Still haven’t heard back about if I was accepted or denied. Anyone have any information on the likelihood of me being accepted?

I don’t know anyone that has applied for aerospace engineering specifically, but I’m also an Illinois CC student, and I have several friends that have applied for mechanical engineering and chemical engineering at UIUC and have been accepted with similar GPAs. Although I’m not sure about their high school record, though that isn’t so important for a junior transfer.

I applied for specialized physics, and still haven’t heard back either. All the decisions are going to be out by mid-April though…so a couple more weeks at most and we’ll know.

@comfortablycurt there is absolutely no one on this forum I am pulling for more than you. You have the best attitude of anyone on this site. Good luck to you!!!

People that were accepted, how were you informed? I’m assuming UIUC messages you via email saying your decision is ready on MyIllini. I am so impatient…mid April please come already!

Thanks, KunjiBoy!

@redsox1215‌ - Most people have gotten an email saying that their admissions decision is ready, then they have to check it online. One of my friends saw it online and didn’t get an email until a few days later though. That may have been some kind of fluke in the email list or something like that though.

Hang in there man!
And oddly enough I never received an email at all, I just happened to check my application and it had said that.
I’m guessing I probably shouldn’t worry about the email tho or is there any important information in it that I should ask to get?

@comfortablycurt‌ Did you check your spam/junk folder? Sometimes, you even need you use the search bar to find emails that are not shown in the inbox.

Hope to see all of you guys at UIUC

Still waiting to hear back! Has anyone heard back from the College of Business yet?

I applied to Engineering Physics and also the Physics program. Still haven´t heard anything back from them and I submitted my application 7 weeks ago. I´m getting anxious! Is it a bad sign if they take so long?

Not yet for business. I am still waiting too. I called recently they said if you applied for priority that we would find out Late March early April. Last year when I applied I found out two weeks after I applied, but got denied so hopefully this is a good sign. I wish the best for everyone.
