has anyone heard of someone at their school receiving a Deferred or Denied letter from UMass? Just wondering of those go out last.

Wow! That sounds ambitious sophie, I wish you all the luck, and congratulations sincerely. To answer ndlbacker so far no one that I know of has received a rejection or deferral from u mass Amherst at my school. Everyone has been accepted. There are a few like me who are still waiting for a response and will hopefully get it this week.

Just got the mail today. Accepted as a Computer Science(BS) major (1st choice). My second choice was Electrical Engineering. I’m so happy! Especially after being rejected from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
My stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.5
Class Rank: 26/345
SAT (superscore): 1810
- SAT Math: 620
- SAT Critical Reading: 640
- SAT Writing: 550

Congrats everyone who has recently got an acceptance! I just wanted to let everyone know that at my school, over hundred kids applied to UMASS and I know a handful of people who have been rejected and accepted. I still haven’t heard yet but I honestly do think that the whole process is truly random. I know a couple kids who got accepted today. We all will know within two weeks so hang in there!
The website says that EA applications will receive notification “Admissions decisions mailed and posted online
Early Action :By the 15th of January” So I am hoping my daughter will receive a decision by then. Nursing is very competitve so I am not too hopeful. This is the last school she has to hear from. We’d just like to know so we can make a decision.
My daughter’s spire account just updated to Deferred. Which was what I was expecting. She was accepted to the University of Delaware back in October with a nice merit award. This just confirms that is where she will go! Good luck to all of you still waiting.

My Spire still says under review. Not sure if that is good or bad!
Mine just updated… I had checked at 3 and I went on again it said deferred
Like luna mine still says under review. I am preparing myself for it to say deferred by midnight to be completely honest, probably even rejected.
Does it say your decision on the homepage or under “check application status”?
