@gopackgo101 there are no strigent cutoffs per se, as UMD has a holistic process, but the application pool will likely be on the high end when it comes to GPA (last years average - average! - was 4.21) and SAT (I can’t remember last year’s average off the top of my head but I believe it was like 1380).
Good luck - EA decisions will likely be released the evening of Jan. 27.
It was on their website somewhere that you will receive an email that your decision is ready
and a link that will direct you to the portal to get the decision
That’s what they’re referring to @lmc119 , the Coalition App portal. Personally I do not believe the decisions will be posted on a third-party site, but I’m just as in the dark as everyone else about the process. I think UMD Admissions could be much more transparent about the process.
@lmc119 It’s not a UMD portal, it’s t he coalition portal. You will receive an email that your decision is ready and in that email will be a link that takes you to the Coalition to review your decision
How will I know when my admission decision is available for review?
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will send you an email to notify you when your admissions decision is ready. When you receive this email, you can view your admission decision online by logging into MyCoalition. For security purposes, please note that we cannot reveal admission decisions over the phone.
If you are offered admission to Maryland, you will also receive a general welcome letter from Undergraduate Admissions in the mail a few days later. Unlike the virtual letter, this hard copy will not include your major or university identification number.
