Thanks for the information. However, after I logged into Connect Carolina, I am unable to see my registration date directly. Can you please guide me through the process? Thanks.
This may be because you’re new into the system and it may take a day or so for it to show up. However, on the right side of Connect Carolina you should see things such as “To-Do items” or “Holds” or “Academic advisor”. There is supposed to be a panel that says “Enrollment dates” and it will tell you when you will be able to register. It’s likely not there because you are fresh in the system but it should show up very soon if it’s not there. In the meantime, you should be able to search for classes and build a small “mock” schedule. I would recommend the coursicle site (within Connect Carolina). It has a really nice interface and works well. @Josephill
To add to the database for next year:

In-state, but currently attending TCU, with a 3.95 GPA in Strategic Communications.
SAT 1330 superscored.

Essays solid, one recommendation from college professor.
Good luck to all!
Are you planning on living on campus or off campus?
is there a Facebook page for accepted students
@Bettane123 MEEEEEE econ major
does anyone else not see a financial aid button? what do i do?
@Lfriel like I said, chins up! Things will work out for the both of us. Did you allow your application to be considered for the CAS? If so, what does this mean for you?
@heyigotnoclue congratulations on your acceptance! Don’t be upset about KF; getting into UNC is something to proud of regardless of circumstance. I am not entirely sure what I will be doing major-wise if I decide to go. Right now I am Econ however I will likely explore other options.
You can still re-apply to the b-school this fall or even fall of 2021 for incoming sophomore transfers. I know some students who weren’t accepted outright, applied in the fall (for spring admission into the b-school) And got in.
Facebook Group: UNC Transfer Students-2020
is there a link to that facebook page? i’m trying to find a roommate - female
Accepted, I actually can’t believe it!
Out-of-state
Admitted to the College of Arts& Science
Applied as a Sophomore
College GPA: 4.0/ 4.0
High School GPA: 4.5 weighted, I think unweighted is around 3.5 something. Not that high to be honest
Test Score: 1410 SAT was the score they received. Definitely on the low side
ECs: Investment Banking Club, Social Impact 360
Essay: 6/10 for the first one- I wrote about me tutoring my friend and learning how to think more outside of the box when explaining myself, and appreciate the different understanding. Not the best work
7/10 for the second one about pick a community (forgot the exact prompt)- wrote about me being “sorted” into Hufflepuff and what that means for me. I enjoyed that essay way more, but it wasn’t that unique. ’
Congrats to others who got accepted as well. But even if you didn’t, don’t let that define you. Everything will work out! Best of luck!
Does anyone know where to find our terms of residence?
Also, is anyone interested in joining Transfer United? Have they heard anything about it?
Your terms in residence will be based on your transfer credits+credits you earn at Carolina. Every block of 15 credits you transfer in=semester in residence. You won’t know your terms in residence until you get your transfer credit report to see how many of your courses transferred to UNC. @reidtw
I am thinking about doing Transfer United because I think it would be nice to have everyone else be new and figuring out UNC as well, plus its located in Carmichael dorm which is right across from the football stadium, next to the gym, and only 5 min from classes. If anyone from previous years did it, what are your thoughts?
I know a few people who did Transfer United back in 2018-2019 and they said it was a positive experience. I will say though that housing staff in general will do their best to group transfer students together for on campus housing. In my case, I was put in Hardin and my suite/roommates were all transfers. We all went through the transfer highs/lows together. Having been in Carmichael a number of times, I can say it’s a really nice dorm, best location of any dorm with suites.
Please don’t mind me asking this. What’s a transfer united…?
Hey guys! I need some help! My stats are available in the first page because I don’t want this to appear like a massive newspaper article. I have been in the US, specifically NC, for 3 years now. However, for some reason upon doing the RDS (NC residency) application it kept coming out as out-of-state till literally 5 minutes ago it finally turned instate. They had me waitlisted because of being out-of-state pool of applicants. Now… how should I go about this? Would I appeal my waitlist decision? If so how? Phone call, email… ? Please help me out. Thank you.
I am sorry to hear that…If I were you, I could call their office on phone first, and email them regarding the required information which they mentioned in the phone call. Hope we can make this!
