hi ya'll...i have already sent my SIR to UCSD for Warren College as a human bio major...however, I will have only completed 57 units by the end of the semester...will i still be admitted to the school? what do i do? help, please!
fyi, i plan on taking a summer course that is 3 units worth and UC transferrable (*this particular class ends 07/15/10) if that helps

Some universities will cut you some slack, but you should DEFINITELY call the college. I’ve actually heard that UCSD is one of the more permissive colleges in this regard, but ABSOLUTELY call them ASAP.

The key issue is:
did you complete the coursework that you listed on your application and on the Winter update? If so, UCSD has already accepted you with 57 units. But if you dropped a course that you said you were taking, then you may have a problem. If the latter, you need to contact UCSD ASAP!

Yes, call. But UCSD is a bit more lenient with taking summer classes to fulfill requirements. Ask them about it.

yes…i did drop a class that i said that i was taking…and that was worth 3 units

tell me how ur situation goes anditsrew…im in the same situation but ucla -.- short 3 units sighhhh

I’ll be in the same situation too – 1.4 units short :[

What if we take a summer course before our transcript deadline?

For those asking about UCLA, I believe that taking a summer course and transferring its units for the Fall is allowed. However, I only say that because in their site they have a deadline for transcripts for those who need to take courses during the summer.
