Does any one else not have the admissions section.
@collegemomjam,I didn’t follow thread last year…didn’t know about it…lol…last year I remember being at work and getting the call of excitement…the notification wasn’t where we had thought it would be so I don’t remember the day it may have actual been posted as we couldn’t find it…now child #2 going through this so we know where to look etc…now that I do have one child there I have voiced to them that I think their website/IT isn’t up to snuff compared to other schools. They have admitted that they have been lax and trying to do better…good luck to all of you waiting…it’s been a great choice so far for our first.
Nothing seems to have changed on Cane Link for me. No admissions section under Student Services home page where the communication box is located… I have always had to go under the self service tab in the left hand corner, to the Student Admission Folder and then click the link for admission status. Nothing has changed. Under my student admission status it has said Application Complete for a long time. No green dot.
Last year I received my acceptance package on February 5th and I think that I saw the acceptance in CaneLink the day before.

For future reference, no we don’t know if results will come out today but they could. These results could come at any day, at any minute- we don’t know and the fact that everyone was so certain that they were going to come out last night and they didn’t proves that we have no idea when these results are coming out. As much as it stinks, we just have to sit here and refresh our canelinks like madmen because saying that it’s going to come out a specific day just stresses everyone unnecessarily because quite frankly, like i said, no one really knows.

Acceptances are done by geographic location. Not surprised, international students are first.
They will and have done acceptances over weekends.
This is making us crazy!
I feel like they will post them after they do their software matinence because I bet they are doing that (fixing their website) to prepare for the mass amounts of students tha are about to be logging in.
This is crazy. No other school leaves students in the dark like this. Both ed and Ed knew when their decisions come out
How classy Miami. Take care of the rich, full pay international students before you take care of the domestic ones. I’m actually disgusted in Miami. If the rest of the school administration carries itself even remotely similar to their admissions office, they don’t deserve any of our money.

Sure they did. Last year, the decisions started going out on Wednesday. This year, they still aren’t out and there is absolutely no transparency. Why the hell would they wait until the first week of February to update their systems? It’s because the office of admissions is so terribly flawed. How pathetic.
Actually, Miami is very classy. They care about their students and will go the extra mile. The students are not just a number. Don’t get caught up in the admission’ s process.
Why are you guys being so critical? The U of Miami is one of the best and most selective schools in Florida. I’m honored to be a part of such a selective academic process and I just really hope I don’t have to go to a college with people this cynical. Quit hanging over your computer screens being impatient and go do something productive!

I don’t know of any other school that treats their “serious students” this way. No date. No time. No emails. No transparency. Rude office workers. Shutting off phones. Are you kidding me? That isn’t classy. I didn’t pay all this money to apply to be treated like this. All hell will break loose if I get deferred after all of this bull.
Seriously? It is RANKED one of the best in Florida. If you are so disgusted and think so badly of it then why the hell did you apply?
Guys, I’m just frustrated. I applied 5 months ago. And many of you have as well. We don’t deserve this.
