University of Miami class of 2022

what’s UMD @sss111222

@dreamchaser2k18 it will be one of the many options we’ll have to decide on, all depends on the the out-of-pocket costs. She has a few full-tuition scholarships to state schools already (which still leaves ~13k for room and board), so my hope is that whatever she gets to Miami makes it a comparable final cost.

Not sure how accurate this is, but I was told by a friend that her 2 friends’ parents who work at UM said the decisions would be released by the 20th.

@Hogglogg by the 20th or on the 20th

Yeah, if it’s by the 20th tomorrow seems like a good bet - Saturday seems weird. If they said on the 20th, I’m not sure that’s accurate? But maybe. At this point, I really don’t know.

Agree with @20182022 admission offices are typically closed on weekends, so I doubt it would be released on Saturday. Tomorrow however, could be the day if thats accurate

@mattd1 My friend said by the 20th. @20182022 @jackd341 Yeah that’s what I was thinking; hopefully this information is correct. It’s not the end of the world if it’s posted next week though. I just wish the UM admissions Twitter was active this year so it would be easier to ask.

Yeah, it would be nice if they’d say when they were posting. But wouldn’t it be great if it were tomorrow! Fingers crossed.

I told you guys that it would be released on the 20th!! @skieurope I’ve been saying that since he beginning of the EA chats. But I got soooo much backlash for saying that. Now u guys wanna agree and say the 20th lmaoooo either way we’ll know on Saturday. Good luck everyone

@dreamchaser2k18 Tomorrow is the 19th - but yeah, I guess it could possibly be on the 20th. We’re pretty sure admissions is closed on the weekend though, thus our guess of tomorrow.

It won’t be the 20th lol the office is closed

It won’t be released tomorrow (my birthday) it’s coming on the day after, which is the 20th. That’s the only reason why I remember lol @20182022

@sss111222 it came out that time last year & I’m from MD & a lot of people from my school apply there & they have all been saying that they come out on the 25th but if it’s not the 25 it’s for sure the 26

@dreamchaser2k18 I remember ED was supposed to come out Dec 15th, a friday, but they could not get it uploaded in time, so it came out the following monday, the 18th. They skipped the weekend and waited for a weekday, so I think if its not tomorrow it’ll be next week. I’m not 100% sure, but confused why you are so set on them coming out on the 20th.

they most likely will not come out on a weekend. I applied ED and @jackd341 is correct. I know fhe waiting sucks but unfortunately it’s out of our control…it’ll come out when it comes out. Good luck everyone!

Miami’s most recent Common Data Set for 2017-18 indicates that the Early Action Notification Date is January 20. Who knows whether they will keep to that but it is what they have recently self-reported. They reported a December 20 Early Decision Notification Date and we know that the recent ED decisions were issued by that date.

That said, on the 2016-17 CDS they also reported a January 20 notification date and we can see from postings here last year that the decisions were released later than that.

Stay patient - there are only 12 days left in January.

The common data set dates are never right - they are just a general guideline. Even if that number is right, it just means that they will get it to us BY the 20th, aka today. I only say this because admissions is closed on the weekends, and no schools release decisions on Saturday or Sunday that I’ve ever seen.

Penn state releases decisions every day including Saturday online. It uploads after midnight in their portal after Friday work day so who knows.

Has anyone called to ask?
