University of Miami class of 2022

@Kd6410 Relax no need to be inflammatory.

@Kd6410 also he was trying to explain why UM may be worse at communicating than other (often easier to get into) schools as instead of combing through every application, they just rush decisions, leaving them more time to communicate to those who they have accepted. Its just that UM is allocating their time differently than some other colleges.

@Kd6410 They said they felt disrespected and unloved in their prior post by UM so I was trying to help them not take it so personal.

This is the feistiest forum on CC lol, Just wait it out and relax guys

Reading this forum makes me not wanna go here more than the school’s abysmal communication methods.

Hey, just wanted to put my two cents in on my son’s account. He is waiting for his EDII decision so I was just checking out what’s been going on. I have helped my kids fill out over 35 applications over past few years, that including a transfer year; some schools are so amazing at communication; Chapman in California and Rhodes College are so meticulous and kind in their admission responses; there are others who are cold but just hit the deadline release date with no fanfare, like Penn State or the entire UC system in California; then there are those who just have delays and poor communication; have to say that Loyola Marymount in CA was the absolute worst; it is not related to the quality of the school, who knows why, even though they do the same thing every year, why some admissions teams have problems and delays; it just is what it is; no sense it making yourselves all crazy; I hope the best for all of you, it all works out in the end; there are so many great schools out there; that’s all

@thejewtalian Don’t let it get to you. I doubt those that are so critical of U of M will choose to attend if offered. Make the decision that is best for you.

@Kd6410 Judging by the “I only have gotten into community colleges but I think I’m competitive for Miami” I think that Isuckhotdogs is screwing with you. Don’t take the bait.

@Kd6410 I’m begging you not to buy into this guys nonsense.

Applied to UM as undecided major ( school of communication)EA. I am an international student from Russia. GPA unweighted 4.0 . No SAT required. Toefl 94, visited UM for 2 times. Top 1%
Listed 10 activities
3 volunteer activities, 4 art, 3 foreign exchange projects.
Do I have a chance to be admitted ?
When is EA decision is going to be eased? I read that some people have already received their scholarship weekend invitation, but I don’t have anything on my CaneLink or in my e-mail inbox.

I don’t know much about the Toefl but judging from those other stats, you have a competitive shot. @brookstonebrige

To be competitive among international students you should have 80. @dreamchaser2k18

so when are they gonna release the decision. since someone said they changed the site to make it say they were an EA applicant

Someone please chance me!!

@metsgiants305 I’m not going to pretend Ik the significance of your grades Bc I’m not too familiar with the grade scaling out of 100 and have no reference point on your high school or anything, but I like your SAT scores and your extra curriculars so I’d imagine you have a very good chance for UM

do scores by any chance come out on saturdays? (In general?) Like, is there a chance for tomorrow or will it be a while?

when are they gonna release the result…

It’ll be in February

Wait, I thought the release date was late January. Is that a different school?

@20182022 U of Miami recently changed their EA response date to say “late January-early February”. :((
