University of Miami class of 2022

What’s HPM?

My daughter applied to HPM, obviously haven’t heard anything back about it yet.

Do they announce hpm reaults along with admission results, for EA?

Lol so much for “late january”

Incredibly unprofessional. It better be tomorrow.

Did anyone receive anything on canelink? someone on another thread say that they posted decisions 5-8 pm, so I assume either today, tomorrow or friday

@ucfdefere they said many time they changed it to late jan-early feb. and @LawStudentToBe I think it will be tomorrow

@cd2030 HPM results aren’t released until March I believe

I am a parent and a professional and am absolutely floored at this moving target and lack of specifics for admissions decisions. Get your act together Miami. I sure hope my child has been studying this week instead of stalking her canelink. It’s really doesn’t need to be this stressful. Even in the 80s with snail mail you knew a mailing date and a possible arrival window depending on the post office. Under promise and over deliver.

Yeah, I have a feeling it’ll be tomorrow or Friday.

@helpmeplease2 , somewhere I remember seeing, that they said they will release HPM results soon after the admission decision (however on their FAQ it says march). Note that the HPM deadline were same as admission deadlines, ie for EA applicants, HPM deadline was same as EA deadline and same goes for RD.

My friends mom said they tried to post decisions last Friday but the computers messed up. It’s likely to be tomorrow.

@car2300 how would your moms friend know? does she work in admisisons

hey everyone! can someone who is knowledgeable about admissions give me some insight on my chances? I am from MA with a 4.1 weighted GPA and 3.75 unweighted, along with a 1230 SAT. I also take AP classes and got a 4 on an AP English exam last year. This being said, my GPA is above the median, but my SAT is quite below. Do they put more emphasis on standardized testing? What effect will this have on my admission?

@car2300. Miami had a systems issue when trying to release the EDI decisions on a Friday in December. They then had to release on the Monday instead. Maybe that is what your mom’s friend is referring to.

@heidi2018rd11 GPA is arguably more important than testing

having said that, anyone can get a relatively high GPA, while not everyone can get great 90+ percentile test scores

hopefully they come out tomorrow !! so we can deal with whatever our decisions are … kinda nervous

Hopeful that tomorrow will be the day for decisions… 3.6 WGPA 31 ACT good ECs great essay here. Good luck to everyone!!

if you get accepted, post your stats! wishing the best of luck to everyone

Is today the day?

Does anyone know if merit $ comes with initial decision letter?
