@billcsho yeah I understand I probably should’ve looked at that before applying, but I need to get out of Illinois…terrible state.
@brantly my FAFSA says my EFC is $60,078. Is that per year? It also says I don’t qualify for Pell grants. You guys are right I definitely should’ve checked this before applying… oh well, just cause you want something doesn’t mean you’re gonna get it. I’ve also gotten quite a lot of merit aid from other schools but they are not even close to the prestige of the University of Michigan.
@098123Student thanks for that info, I’ll definitely plan on that phone call.
@quackunited It’s per year. And, yes, that’s $60k. You’ll be allowed to take out a $5,500 loan. That’s great that you got substantial merit aid elsewhere.
@berkeley101 My son sent a LOCI. We are OOS. Honestly, he wasn’t going to but sent one a week ago. He has some great schools that he is interested in and excited about. The price is better on some of them, too!
Wanted to get you guy’s opinion on my chances of getting in.

Sorry if you guys see this kind of stuff a lot, just super nervous and want to see your opinions. I was deferred early action btw.
@5Dis Some merit scholarship notifications have been sent since more than a week ago. There will be more coming out between now and the next few weeks.
The financial aid would appears $0 until they have the info entered.
@qfcwev190 Taking 16 AP and suffered in GPA is likely a bad decision. For UMich, even half of that number of AP should be more than sufficient to fulfill their course rigor requirement.
My S received a response from his admissions person from his submission of the LOCI and she indicated that over 38,000 EA applications were received. Interesting.
There is an award summary link that lists the Regent Scholarship. There is another link that says award notices, but when we click that, it says “No Award Notices found”
