Hi, sorry just to clarify!
If the results will be out by the 24th, results could come out at any time before that date right?
Yeah, I think if anything they’ll come out next Friday… I don’t think Michigan has a history of releasing decisions too early (or at least from what I’ve seen in the past with friends…)
So the 24?
I’ve heard a lot of different days but I’d say probably the 20th or later
From the web site:
All U-M admissions decisions are sent via email from Michigan Admissions under the subject line “Your University of Michigan Admissions Decision.” Check your email on a regular basis. If you add this email address to your safe list, your decision will not end up in your junk or spam folder. However, given variations in online security, we recommend that you check both your inbox and junk mail folders just to be sure. Your admission decision will be released to the email address you provided on your application. Keep in mind that only some decisions will be posted on our web app status page. You will receive paper correspondence by mail only after you have been admitted.
Good luck everyone!!!
Were we supposed to get a portal login in an email?
If you are talking about wolverine access, it should be in your mail. @OffToCollege2022
For the people who are saying that their LSA Honors Box is “Live” what exactly do you mean by that. There seems to be some discrepancy as to what that means. Two different people said their portal was live, but one person said that it says “Your LSA Honors Application is not available”. This is what my son’s portal says.
Does anyone have some nursing stats…I see on here a lot of people apply to LSA but I was curious about who’s applying to nursing and what types of stats they have or what the stats of previously accepted Michigan students are
The nursing stats are slightly lower than the school itself. I went to a information session at the nursing school and here is the info they gave us:
Average GPA: 3.85
Average ACT score: 30
Average ACT science: 28
This is all the information they have in the packet they handed out. I’m not sure why they didn’t show the average SAT’s, so I guess they like to see the ACT. They didn’t give an acceptance rate either, but the 2016 incoming class size was 172, which is relatively large.
They are really looking for demonstrated interest, though. If you have above these stats but no experience in the field, you may have a hard time getting in. They want to make sure the students they recruit truly want to become nurses and won’t drop out and switch to LSA.
Btw I’m applying for nursing too
Just got differed from Brown…hopefully we get some good news on Christmas eve
@pz1818 denied at MIT I sort of feel you…
@pz1818 i feel like the michigan thread can now be officially named f*** ivys
is it true that defers/denies get sent out earlier?
@nursing2022 thank you so much!! I feel I’m in the general area for the stats, on my application I had a hospital volunteer program that I had over the summer, and enrolling in an EMT course in the spring, is this the kind of interest that they are looking for?
Michigan is the only school I didn’t visit but applied to. Looks amazing!
Yeah definitely! The supplements are a big one, too. In the why Michigan essay they really want you to talk about what the nursing school specifically has to offer and why it interests you.
There’s another thread on here that talks a lot about that:
But to summarize, decisions will most likely come out sometime between Wednesday and Friday of next week. Earlier would be nice, but oh well
The announcement usually starts on Friday. That has been their routine for years. However, 12/22 may be too late. In 2012, the EA result came out on 12/14, so it is possible that the announcement starts tomorrow.
Here are the EA result notification dates for a couple other years that I found so far:
12/20/2013
12/19/2014
The are all Fridays.
I’m applying to nursing too! At the info session they said the acceptance rate for nursing was ~30%, which is relatively high for umich
