University of Michigan Ann Arbor Class of 2022 Early Action

@pz1818 Just got denied from Yale so I’d love to hear some good news from Michigan :\

That makes me feel better! Pitt’s was only 23%!

Hey guys, so I wrote my LSA supplement about specific aspects of the curriculum that appeal to me, but I wrote my other two supplements about activities that have shaped me as a person. I play tennis (relatively badly) and I’m a pianist, and both of these things have really impacted how I see the world. I want to pursue science/pre-med, so do you think it will hurt me that I didn’t discuss my EC’s in those areas? (for reference, I’m a Caucasian female from a huge MN public high school, class rank #5/500, GPA: 4.176, ACT: 34, single-sitting)

@nursing2022 I’ve been accepted into two other nursing programs that state their acceptance rates as 30% so I’m crossing my fingers for umich!

Here are the other dates from recent years.
12/16/2011 (Friday)
12/18/2015 (Friday)
12/21/2016 (Wednesday)

So only 2016 was not started on Friday and it has not been as late as 12/22.

@clvmsy I thought yale was restrictive early action

REA does not prevent applying to public colleges.

Is the school of kinesiology the easiest school? Thats what school I applied to

Here are the EA result starting dates in the last few years based on previous posting in this forum:

12/16/2011 (Friday)
12/14/2012 (Friday)
12/20/2013 (Friday)
12/19/2014 (Friday)
12/18/2015 (Friday)
12/21/2016 (Wednesday)

Well then I feel like there is a pretty good chance of it coming out tomorrow!!! I am so anxious. They do take into consideration your areas of interest, right? Like I am a girl interested in STEM so would that help me in any way?

Hmmm, should I use my invisibility for good or for evil?

Just got rejected from Northwestern  Realllllyyyy want to hear back from Michigan!

@Bella2018 I doubt it will hurt your chances.

Do you guys think there is a correlation between your LSA Honors application being live and being accepted into UMich? Only two people’s LSA Honors applications are live in this thread, and one of them seems like a lock for UMich.

@HumbleJoVi I don’t even know what it means when they say it’s live

Yeah, I’m also not clear on that. I mean, my button “works” but it just brings me to a page that says the honors app isn’t available yet, with a link to a prospective students page.

@piday314 It just means that when you click on it, it doesn’t say “LSA Honors Application is currently not available”

Wait there was an honors application??? Is there anyway to get into honors once you are there?

I think that’s what they mean. I doubt they would allow people to access the application before decisions were sent out. Fingers crossed that they come out tomorrow

Ok serious question. To the people who say their honors application is “live”, does this mean it’s allowing you to actually start filling out the application? Like when you click on the box, it does NOT say that the application is currently unavailable. Because the website specifically says, "The application portal for Fall 2018 will be open once students have been admitted to LSA, which is generally in mid-to late December. "
