University of Michigan Ann Arbor Class of 2022 Early Action

hey y’all! rly interested in umich so I’m joining this thread!!

Ok just so you all know. Last year it rolled out meaning some kids got acceptances starting at 3pm but we didn’t get the email until 5:30pm. So don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t come right away.

Does the portal status change before you get the email?

We got the email first and then directed to portal and that was up to date too

Anyone got any realistic estimate for when they come out? I’ve been hearing around 15-16th but some people think it might be pushed back all the way to the 21st

Looks like no decisions today… likely mid next week then!

PLES UMICH

Applied for Engineering
Which did you apply for?

Will they send an email or it will be on the portal?

Both

My D1&2s guidance counselor told them that Michigan would not release until after all the Ivy Eds were done so they can pull those acceptances. So next week (which is obvious now).

Are decisions gonna be released based on when you submitted your application? Like if you submitted your app on November 1st would the decision come out later than the others??

So the decision comes in an email? Or do they tell you to check the portal in the email?

I’ve read that they send you an email with the subject “Your University of Michigan Admissions Decision”

MODERATOR’S NOTE:
No admissions officer would be that unprofessional. Either your friend or your friend’s friend is playing mind games.

Does Michigan evaluate you and admit you for the university or the school (like School of engineering) or the major specifically (like CS or mechanical)?

@applicanclass2022 they admit you to the specific school, as many people don’t decide their majors until later in their college career

Hearing from various sources that Wednesday is the day

Thanks For the clarification! @Ochillith
