Got rejected from UChicago ED today with a 1550 SAT+ two 790 SAT subject test scores, a 4-yr two sport varsity athlete, 200+ hr volunteer, multiple clubs/honors societies. A little disappointed to find out that the majority of people seem to be getting deferrals instead of rejections, but best of luck to those who still have a chance. At least I applied to other schools I like lol

Apologies to the original author of the above data.

Credit where credit is due.
Son was admitted to UChicago today so will be pulling his EA app to MI.
Good luck to you all!
@elzbth welcome to the rejected from cornell family in michigan
Well, got accepted to U of Chicago EA. 1560 SAT (not superscored) - took 3 times; 800 Math II; 800 Physics, 780 Biology. 3.87 cumulative GPA; 3.91 cumulative academic GPA, 4.64 weighted.
I’d much rather attend UMich and will choose UMich over U of Chicago. I’ll see where this whole thing lands. If I get deferred, I’ll probably say goodbye to UMich - no need, nor patience, for the run-around at this level.
My daughter was accepted 2 years ago today. Our experience that year was that decisions started Friday 12/18 about 3pm. Not everyone received decisions that day- some rolled out through the weekend. I know of nobody that was rejected in the EA round. All were either deferred to regular admissions or accepted. Good luck to all applicants this year. I imagine you only have a couple of more days to wait!
If anyone would like to feel better about their own lives, please remember that I wrote a 22 page final paper instead of a 12 page paper because of a typo in my teacher’s syllabus.
@Bella2018, that teacher will make a good recommender for you - she owes you 10 pages.
@KES2022 I wholeheartedly agree
I’ve been checking this feed every couple hours and it’s driving me crazy…I am so nervous. Good luck to everyone who applied, I wish we could all make it in
@quackunited so have i. Good luck

@will9908 I would be surprised if you didn’t get in. Good luck
Aim for Wednesday guys
I will be unapologetically refreshing my portal every single day every 30 min until the decisions are released. No shame.
@sushiritto thanks kid
Wednesday afternoon is the prelim target for decision release
Hello people, deferral Cornell and MIT here lol. Michigan is my third best choice and with my top two choices already gone, I really want/need to get into U Mich!!
Assuming the decision comes out on Weds, anyone have any idea what time the decisions are released? At least roughly within what time range were previous decisions released?
Thank you!
Does anyone know if Michigan sends an email in advance of the decision release confirming the date/time decisions are available? Or do you just need to keep checking the applicant portal?
