Does anyone know the specific acceptance rate for the nursing school?
Applying EA, OOS, 31 ACT (10 writing), 3.9 GPA, President of NHS, extensive volunteering work (including oversees), 3 APs, with legacy…what do you think?
Oh yeah, here are my stats:
3.75 UW from Cali (just a lot of Bs, I had personal problems, which my counselor explained and I put in additional info)
33 ACT (35E/35M/28R/32S/31W)
2210 highest SAT (680CR/800M/730W/10E)
For reference: avg. early admit from my school is 3.8, 2204, 33.
770 Math 2 and Chem (bad beyond belief)
Bunch of chemistry ECs+awards, 100ish hours of volunteer, bunch of leadership through SciOly and Chemistry Club, DECA, three sports, three instruments
3 AP classes, 4 honors, 5 APs this year
5 on Chinese, APUSH, Chem; 4 on APLAC self study
Common App essay was “well written and very touching”, lots of people said it was good.
UMich essays: short answer (EC) was decent and generic. First essay was meh. Second essay was good.
Pretty sure teacher rec is ok, but common app is just glitching… Calling tomorrow to check…
I submitted at 11:30 PST early action and Common App let me do it. I guess I’m tagging along with you guys. I don’t think I’ll get in (nor do I think I’d be able to afford it either, lol). Good luck to everyone!
I submitted yesterday. I sent my SAT scores October16 but college board says it’s pending bc they having an issue with the processing…umichs website seems to be hard on deadlines but CB says they sent out a more encouraging colleges to be lenient (very helpful cb thank you) do you think I’ll make it? If not…do i have enough arguments to appeal for ea?
Hi! On my Wolverine Access, it says my school report was received 11/2, while everything else was received 11/1. My app was submitted on 10/31, but now I’m concerned about the school report. Do I still qualify for EA? Thanks!
@woah16, how did you get to Wolverine Access so quickly? I submitted mine on 10/31 too, but I thought I would need to wait a week at least for the email.
My DD submitted her app on 11/1 at 10:33 a.m. and is also waiting. Fortunately(?) the credit card charge for the fees went through so we know the submission occurred.
@whizkid98, I’m just as surprised as you! All my friends and my brother go theirs about a week after applying. I was beginning to fall into the “Maybe this is a good sign…” hole, but then I remembered my stats
The info I found made it sound like it was limited to certain zip codes/areas–so maybe “average income of zip code” based as well as “not completely unacceptable stats”?
I received a HAIL interview email as well. I hope it’s a good omen, but I think it’s just a regional opportunity for applicants to learn more about the school.
Does anyone happen to know any very specific admission stats, such as the acceptance rate for early action, or acceptance rate for in state vs. out of state applicants?
