University of Michigan Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

I mean 2/15. Whoops!

@racheliiiiii my last material was received on 2/12 and I haven’t heard anything yet. Monday marks six weeks so I’m hoping I’ll hear something around then

Okay, so my last material was received on 2/15…BUT that does not mean my application was marked complete that day. I gave the offices a call and they said that my application was marked complete on 3/7…So yeah, if you guys haven’t called and asked I suggest you do. We are all afraid. Every morning, afternoon, and evening I am frantically waiting for an email or wolverine access. It’s truly an on-edge experience for everyone I’m assuming. Is today the day? Nope. Maybe tomorrow? Probably not.

@Jd12345 see I also talked to the offices a few weeks ago and they told me that marking applications complete isnt always necessarily the case with transfer applicants.

Interesting. I just called to couple check and mine was complete on 3/6. Wonder what all this means, its all so ominous LOL

For all of you waiting to hear back still, here’s something that might be comforting…

High School
GPA: 3.3
ACT: 21
I had a handful of C’s… not the greatest record.

Community College
I went to community college for a semester, applied for Fall 2017, and I was rejected.
I went to community college for another year, earned a 4.0 overall for both years and got accepted for Fall 2018 with only 55 credits.
THERE IS STILL HOPE!
Good luck everyone!

@umich2020transf when did you receive your decision? also are you in-state or OOS

@MaybeWolverine There is nothing ominous about our situations. I’ve researched umich transfer threads from years past and there were people getting accepted as late as April & May, so don’t worry. If you haven’t got denied yet, you still have a fair chance to get in.

I just went to a Mongolian buffet and I really hope I don’t get my decision within the next hour because I’m so full I might get a heart attack.

I actually heard a little bit over a month ago, and I am in state @unusually

Did anyone apply as chemical engineering transfer?

Hi guys, so I applied as Mechanical Engineering to the COE. Couple weeks ago, they asked me to provide course material for my math and chem class, and they said that they do not find any of my chem class to be equivalent to any of chem course and UM and they will transfer as chem 101X. And for my math courses, approved my calc 2,3 and linear algebra classes and gave me departmental credit for my calc 1 and differential equation… and now on my Credentials screen, the “Other Required Application Material” part shows that one of the material “Course Review-No Info Needed” is not received. Is that why my application is still not completed yet? And how do I see if my application is complete?

Just trying to find out before I have to make living arrangements at my current school for next year :((

@Shaibleb My best friend did, and he’s still waiting to hear back!

Hang in there everyone.

Try to remember that admissions can reject an applicant quickly, but accepting someone always takes time.

out of state!!

out of state!! @amarz12

@Jd12345 30 (not including AP credits)

@lalalamichigan Your stats look good to me. It might just be that you didn’t have enough credits to transfer!

Counselor asked me for registration of two labs during this summer. Also, she warned me that I have to get “c” or better. If anything change with my summer schedule, I need to contact admission office. This is what she said.Does that mean I stand a big chance of being admitted?
