Hello all!
I am a 17-year-old (18 next month) senior in high school, but I am also a full-time student in college. I only have one class at the high school, and I am currently enrolled in 4 classes at Henry Ford College. I was wondering if you guys would give me my chances and some tips of advice for getting into University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Here you go!

Background:
White Female
Straight in the middle Middle-Class family
Both parents didn’t go to college, only high school graduates

High School:
3.7 GPA
2 AP classes, but only took the APUSH exam and got a 4 on it. The other AP I took was AP English Lang.
Part of the yearbook staff senior year, selling $500 in advertisements
President of Young Progressives Club (it’s our version of a democrats club)
One of the few students that organized and spoke at the walkout on March 14th that gathered 1,500 students.
Girl Scout from 3rd grade to now, ranking in many community service hours.

College:
4.0 GPA
Dean’s List
Have completed 7 classes so far (21 credits)
Taking 14 credits currently
Another 12-14 credits in the fall and then 12-14 more in the winter semester

General Info to consider:
I want to enroll for 2019 fall semester, so I would be applying this fall.
In state student from a diverse city
Would be applying with 30+ transferable credits.

Let me know if you need any other information, thanks!

@justjulie You have some pretty strong stats, transferable credits are a good amount to apply to. Strong essays and apps with good rec letters helps too. You have a good chance from my first glance at your stats.

I got my decision today…I was accepted to LSA!!

@kmwumich wow congrat! may I know when your application mark complete? bc i called them and they told me that mine was marked complete on 3/20

@racheliiiiii I’m not exactly sure about the date it was officially marked complete. My last material was received on 2/12 though if that helps at all. I still haven’t received my official email, I found out through Wolverine Access

Congrats everyone! I’m so happy for you all! Hopefully I’ll hear back soon too

Where do we find out when our applications are marked complete? on the admission application status page my application date says 02/02. is that it? Also, when I click view credentials, theres nothing listed under the “other required application materials” but i did submit my college transcript, high school transcript, etc. wouldnt those be listed there?

What really matters is that your transcripts should be in your file now. I guess they just forget to put that on your application status page. Your application should be under review now. Just wait.

Congrats to @kmwumich and @MaybeWolverine !!! By the way, did you guys receive the wolverine access first or the email first? Or was it the same time? Or was the email delayed?

Also, to anyone who is asking about the marked as complete, you should give the admission offices a call and ask via phone call. It dosent tell you on WA, and you need to call and ask.

@brilliant21 Students that have 60+ credits have a way higher chance of getting accepted because they don’t take your highschool GPA or ACT/SAT into consideration. Your highschool GPA and SAT/ACT were phenomenal, I’m mildly shocked that you did not get accepted. You should’ve gotten in straight out of high school. A 35 ACT? Lol that’s incredible, and you sustained a 4.0 GPA in high school and college as well? That’s beyond incredible. Did you butcher your essays? Because that is very important when applying, but considering you’re a genius from your stats, I presume you did write them well.

@Jd12345 I didn’t get in yet, I was just saying that I hoped to hear back soon! Just congratulating them is all

@Jd12345 thanks!! I received my decision over Wolverine Access first. I didn’t get the email until almost four hours after I saw I was accepted on Wolverine Access!

Hi all.
I am looking to transfer to Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Does anyone know how competitive it is to get into?
I am a second year student at a community college. I have a 3.7 GPA and have completed all the prerequisites for this program. I have also met with advisors several times and they have really liked my portfolio.
Thanks!

Is there a group chat or Facebook page for accepted transfer students?

Can someone who has transfered to Michigan speak to how hard it is to acclimate socially to the university? I want to rush and participate in greek life, but I am unsure as to how competitive it might be for a sophmore transfer

@Jd12345 For my application, I hired a professional counselor to edit and look over my essays. However, I do no think they were out of this world but they were pretty good I thought… When I asked the admissions officer for my area why I was not accepted, she said it was because they want juniors over sophomores- but it was kind of a strange answer. I have no idea why I was not accepted but I tend have had bad luck applying to schools (hence why I am transferring now!) so, hopefully other schools pull through, although this does not settle well because Mich was my safety :frowning: Good luck to you and everyone else!
