@hailtopitt1787 - Thanks!

@Ducktective - Congrats!! Whatās the date on your acceptance letter?

Ducktective congrats!! Where do you live?

Received my merit scholarship letter today as well. Application sent at the beginning of October and acceptance received at the end of October. Very happy!

Congrats! What was the date on the merit scholarship letter and where do you live? Are you in state?

123456789woop and Ducktective, can you share your stats? SAT, GPA, in/out of state? Thanks!

@hailtopitt1787ā
I have a quick question about graduate programs. Iāve noticed that there are freshman guarantees offered for certain graduate programs but not for others. I was wondering are freshman very likely to be admitted to graduate programs of their choice? For example, if a student was to come to Pitt with an intended major in Psychology, what would be there chance of being able to enter the graduate program at Pitt? Iām guessing that this would be based on the grades earned in college without much regard to high school performance. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but I would just like to better understand this as I make an admission decision.

Has anybody missed a deadline for the Stamps Scholarship?? Were you still able to apply late? We have been stalking the mailbox awaiting any info on scholarships with no luck. Someone mentioned earlier that they received an email about the Stamps Scholarship. Sure enough we checked my sonās old email account that he no longer uses and he was invited to apply back in September! He only had three weeks to apply. I am sick over this. We already have a son in college and three kids at home. We were REALLY counting on my son getting a scholarship because we do not qualify for financial aid. I just canāt believe this happened since we were told that all scholarship awards were sent via US mail. I donāt know why on earth they would email an invitation to apply and not send an actual letter for something so important. I am so upset.

Congrats, 123456789woops and Ducktective on your awards!

Curiousinpa that is very upsetting. Have your son email admissions and ask if he can still participate. Good luck.

Can everyone receiving merit scholarships share the date of acceptance, stats, and amount?

At least one of the receipients ( 123456789woop) lives in Pa. The information you want has been posted in this thread, the class of 2019 thread, and the Stamps scholarship thread. Not sure about Ducktective but if I had to take a guess I would say he is also from Pa.

I got a full ride today! The later was dated 11/10 also.

Got my scholarship letter today. It was postmarked on 11/10. I received full tuition with an invitation to apply for the Chancellorās scholarship!

*letter

My letter was also dated 11/10. Received a full tuition scholarship, with nomination for Chancellorās Scholarship.
Some stats (very similar to 123456789woop):
Bioengineering major, 35 ACT, 97.2/100 GPA, 800 Math II, National Merit Semifinalist, 8 APās, good ECās, decent essays, in-state
Good luck to the rest of you!

D received her GAP email invite on Wednesday ( 11/12) and today she received her full tuition scholarship ( dated 11/10) and the Chancellors invite. Good luck to everybody!

I got admitted to Pitt and got a letter that if I maintain a certain GPA and achieve a certain LSAT score Iām guaranteed admission to the law school. That has an impact, I have to say.

I got the letter yesterday with full tuition scholarship and invitation to apply for the Chancellorās. Out of state, ACT 35, GPA 4.0, many dual credit college courses. Does anyone know how many Chancellorās Scholarships there are? That offer would be pretty hard to beat.

Seems to be around 10-15 a year.
