How do you add in midyear grades in your SRAR? I only see an option to put in final grades. I already sent in my high school transcripts, should I still update my SRAR?
@s9841210 I believe my son added them into the final grade section and replaced the In Progress status. I think that was the only option

My d was accepted to Pitt, we have registered for March 30 admitted student day for science majors 
Do students usually have parents attend with them?
We will travel with her but do students mostly go on the tour alone?
I can’t recall if the registration asked how many of us
Anyone care to share your experiences from admitted student days?
Have been to Pitt campus, casual visits, love it
Can’t wait to have an official tour, especially interested in dorms and travel distance to classes

@ziveli513 Yes parents attend admitted student events with their kids. Everyone goes on the tours together. We did the walking tour and then the bus tour. Was done very well, professional and informative. My son was sold on pitt from our first visit. He’s been there 3 times already and just loves the campus.

Hi there! My son submitted his mid-year grades January 17th and still hasn’t heard anything from Pitt yet. Has anyone who submitted mid-year grades recently heard back yet? His app only has an accept/decline button for Pitt Greensburg, not Pitt main. He applied to both, but prefers Pitt main. Does anyone have a sense of how long this takes? Anxiously waiting! Thanks!

We are launching a new Online Orientation. Access to Pitt’s Online Orientation will be sent to all incoming freshman in May. PittStart will no longer be a part of freshman programming. However, Panther Connect is our on-campus summer engagement opportunity for new first-year students. It is optional, but it allows students to come spend time on campus, connect with peers and develop skills to thrive at Pitt. The office of First Year Experience is currently finalizing the schedule and setting the registration cost. Financial assistance is available based on demonstrated need. More information will go out to admitted first-year students in mid-February and registration will open in March.

Since freshman orientation is now going to be online only if I understood correctly, does that mean academic advising and fall course selection guidance from advisor will also be online?
With pittstart it seems it was in person which seemed appealing:)
Though online means many more options for scheduling I’m guessing!

I believe students will have the option to schedule their first advising appointment once they complete the orientation, they will then have the option to specify if they want to schedule their appointment via phone, Skype, or in-person. The online orientation will provide the student with plenty of guidance on how to do this.
