@hailtopitt1787 my D submitted her application on Sunday. We haven’t received any communication confirming the application. Is that normal? I’ve seen several posts here talking about an email with a login id used in the portal and on the mobile app but she hasn’t received that. Thanks!
@MominPA2017, It can take a few business days for the IT Help Desk to get that email out. It should be coming your way shortly!
Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
@hailtopitt1787 Thank you very much for clarifying and look forward to an email soon.
Thank you!
@divol19 I have two friends who have kids at Pitt now (currently Freshman and Sophomore) and they both said that the Honors College comes a couple of weeks after the acceptance
So my buttons on the app changed today and when I pressed accept it took me back to the screen that said I have no applications pending. Based on what I’ve seen here that means I got in but I haven’t gotten an email or letter yet. Does anybody know what this means?
My son’s buttons just changed this afternoon . I’m nervous to tell him because I want to be 100% confident this is the real deal . Can anyone confirm?
Congratulations! Can you please tell me when you applied? @SAD1010
My daughter’s buttons changed yesterday morning, but like Senior_1999 I don’t wan’t to show her until or if we get an email. She applied on Sept. 6.
I applied on 9/11 to the school of arts and sciences, and undecided for best chance of admission. Unweighted, my GPA is a 3.56 (had a 3.0 sophomore year due to medical reasons) and i scored an 1140 on my SAT. i’m retaking it in October, as well as taking the ACT in October. I’ve taken a few APs and every honors / advanced class that my school offers. I believe my chances are pretty slim of getting into main campus. My school counselor believes I am right on the fence. I’d prefer to not go to a branch campus though. Any advice?
Do what you can to get that SAT up by 100 - 150 points (go onto Khan Academy and practice, practice, practice). Use your short answer questions to help explain Sophomore year.
I should’ve done that. Ugh. I already submitted my application so it’s too late to explain sophomore year. But as for Khan academy, I will definitely give it a go. Thanks!
@Pjchristie21 Application complete on 8/4
I applied on 9/7 as an OOS in the Dietrich School of Arts for Pre-Pharmacy… Now I am just waiting anxiously, very anxiously. And the fact that some people have already gotten accepted is making me even more nervous
@G_2019LAG I mentioned my extracurriculars in my short answer responses, but i didn’t explicitly state them. I sort of weaved them into my answers.
@lola3253 congratulations do you mind sharing your stats
@gracietherese58 you might want to consider sending an email to the admissions representative for your area
I was wondering if declination letters came out at the same time as acceptance letters? I’m starting to get worried because some of my friends who applied the same day as me have gotten their letters. Thank you!
Mobile app now has the “accept/decline” buttons. Portal on laptop still says “application complete” (no accept/decline buttons), nothing in mail, and no email yet. I’m excited to think she’s in, but very hesitant until I see further confirmation. Thoughts?
UPDATE… I called admissions and they said do not do anything until you receive an email. I guess the mobile app is not definitive.
