Yes there were no more to dos. And then we just checked the document center today when we saw on here (CC) that someone else had seen their acceptance.
Congrats! Seems like Arts & Sciences has started with decisions. (Not so) patiently waiting for Engineering!
DS24 submitted on Aug 21st via Common App but just recently completed SRAR on Aug 26th. His Pitt application is showing pending currently. He has activated his Pitt account, but we are having hard time to navigate. Should he just login from MyPitt or there is other link for applicants? He first signed in from Student center and later was unable to find the login screen so he got in from MyPitt. However, screen is completely different, so he is kind of confused.
You can access the document center from MyPitt but not the student center (at least S24 could not find it).
To find the student center, use the link in the email with the subject “Activate your Pitt applicant account.” In that email are 2 links, one to the document center and one to the student center.
The student center link takes you to a dashboard. The menu on the left has a tab for admissions (towards the bottom). It will only have the admission status option while the application is pending. Once the application is complete, a new accept/decline option shows up underneath the application status.
S24 has an accept/decline button, but nothing in the document center. I am sure the official acceptance letter will show up in a few days - as reported here by some.
My son found it very confusing too. When you find the Student Center link, make sure to bookmark it after logging in.
Hopefully someone else has the actual link for the student center dashboard - but this is how S24 did it.
Thank you. I did bookmark it. However, when trying to login by clicking bookmark, it showed me the logout page and there is no option to redirect back to login page. I may need to ask my son to copy the link from email and replace the link saved in bookmark. My son has 1 document in his document center. It gave him a Pitt ID/peoplesoft ID.
What happens when you get the accept/decline option? Are there actual buttons that pop up to click to accept? That’s a lot of pressure so early on haha.
Too afraid to check the portal. Might wait for the email.
Yes there are actual accept/decline buttons. But they say that you will be told to confirm your decision - so I guess that is good if you click on the button accidentally
S24 says he will only check the official documents in the document center from now on.
I figure he has till May 1st to decide if he wants to accept/decline.
Daughter accepted to School of Nursing. Applied 8/14 and Admission Letter 8/24. GPA 4.0 Test optional. Her first acceptance so we are very happy! Now waiting for merit awards to know the COA. Happy to join this group!
that document came 1 day before my daughter’s admission letter. Hopefully your kids must be coming soon on the portal as well. All the best!
Where do you send or request LOR? My son applied from Common App as well but it said Pitt does not require LOR. Our school’s LOR will need to be requested from Naviance as far as I am aware. However, our high school will start in few days so we have no resource to request LOR yet.
pitt does not require LOR. We applied without it.
Did your daughter apply through Pitt app or Common App for Nursing? Are you in state or oos?
Pitt App. We are OOS.
Seems like only Pitt app people have gotten in so far. Interesting. For anyone who has gotten in, how long does it take to receive an acceptance email? Or is it all just in the portal?

Can anyone with experience please clarify if letters of recommendation are considered for UPitt applications? If so where do you submit them? Is it needed from guidance counselors only or also teachers?
-
Is there any preferred format of a resume for the application to UPitt?
