University of Pittsburgh Online Applcation

Hi, I have some questions regarding the online application.

If my recommendation providers are submitting the letter of recommendation on paper, do I still have to include them in the recommendation provider list?

How do I select more than one choice in the supplemental information box? I tried to follow the direction under the box, but it did not work.

Do I have to submit a resume as part of the supplemental information?

On the application, where do I include my extra-curricular activities?

Do I have to send all of my SAT scores that I've taken so far?

Thanks!!

Hello!

Let me start off by saying that all of the first four things you are asking about are supplemental, they are totally optional and not required for Pitt to consider your application complete. Of course, anything you want to send to give a better view of who you are is always helpful to the admissions committee!

You can just have them send it.

If you are having trouble with the supplemental information box, you don’t have to worry about checking them all, just go ahead and send it to Pitt separately. The best way to get materials to us is to send an email to oafa@pitt.edu with the materials attached as a PDF. Please include your name, address, and date of birth on the attached file so that we can match it with your application. I also encourage you to send the materials as soon as possible after you submit your application. Once we have received your app, transcript, application fee, and test scores we will consider your application complete, so it’s important to get those supplemental materials you want us to see in as soon as possible so we will have them ready when we review your application.

You are not required to submit a resume, but you may. Please use the same procedure I mentioned above and send to oafa@pitt.edu.

If you want to let us know about extra-curricular activities, you may include those on the optional resume.

You are not required to send all of your SAT scores, but I do strongly encourage you to do so. We combine your highest SAT critical reading and/or ACT English and math sub scores from all tests submitted.

@hailtopitt1787 How do I submit the college board fee waiver?

@Sunrise97‌, just have your counselor email or mail it to our office (contact info below). When you fill out the application, check the box that says you are sending us a check and it will let you submit the application without paying the fee up front. Then we will await your waiver and process your application once it is received!
