Is it when you are actually in the application or the first page. My child’s logout is up top. I went in then I clicked 2023-2024 application. Is that where?

Yes, on the application page. There is a logout on top but there is an additional one on the bottom right. Above the bottom right logout there is/was a text box that contained a pull-down menu that allowed you to do a change request. It is this text box /change request wording that some say is now gone.

Ok. I don’t see any of that so I guess ours is gone.

My change request is still there… In my uneducated opinion, it means nothing

They only send an email indicating an update has been made to your portal.

Just received!!
Thank you for applying to the University of South Carolina. We will begin releasing Early Action decisions late Wednesday afternoon, December 14. You will receive an email advising you to check your status on your [UofSC Admissions Portal](

Decisions may include acceptances, deferrals and denials. Students admitted during Early Action are competitive applicants who present above average academic credentials. Those deferred will go through an extended review period so additional factors may be considered, such as personal circumstances, extracurricular activities and the personal essay. No additional credentials are needed for this review process, as everything we consider is included in the application.

Just received the same email. Appears they sent it to both students and parents.

So are there 2 different emails? I got the same one that includes the part about different types of decisions including deferral but then I see someone got one that simply said they’ll be notified when their decision is released. Does this mean deferral???

Where are you seeing 2 different emails?

Unless that person just posted the first paragraph and not the full email?

Just in the posts above. Probably over analyzing it

I think Class2023Mom only sent part of the same email as the person before her. Only one email. Tomorrow late afternoon - I’m so happy we have a specific answer of when they’re releasing decisions!
