Does anyone still see the application change request drop down? Or did that disappear for everyone?
Here we go again - decisions based only on what I look like - not my looks and personality. I really wish they would have published the fact that they do not look at the whole application for EA. That would have changed my entire approach.
Sorry
Wrong String!! Sorry
Still no drop down. Anyone else?
Based on my experience, I felt like two years ago they looked at the transcript and test scores âifâ you submitted. Extra Curriculars, jobs, leaderships etc⊠IMO are not factored in which IMO is just kinda sad. One would think it would weigh heavily to try and fill a campus with well rounded kids.
Exactly. Every campus claims that they are so much more diverse than the next. Meanwhile, theyâre selecting students based on a solely on a transcript. Itâs hard to ensure diversity that way.
USC actually had the most diverse (by race) class this year then any of their other years. I was more so talking about filling the class with kids who are more then numbers on a transcript.
This is tough for private schools that donât have APs and donât weight. The kids donât have those eye popping GPAs.
Still have the drop down here. Not taking it as a good sign.
I was talking about an overall diverse campus - breakfast club if you will. Racial diversity alone doesnât do anything to make people more worldly or well rounded.
Could be totally random and maybe they are uploading decisions from now until tomorrow late afternoon. I wouldnât put too much weight on it! They disappeared and reappeared once before.
Good luck to everyone today!!!
Oh the stress! Good luck to everyone today!
I wonder if they will all be released at one time or will they be sporadic throughout the day?
Schools generally release at a set time in the evening, which I am thankful for as my DS has exams today! Still nervous here as the state of SC saw the largest increase in applications in the country! ugh. So hard to know where these kiddos stand when the common app data is 2 years old. Best of luck everyone!!!
Honestly applications are up everywhere! My older daughters school in PA had the largest freshman class ever. With test optional, applications are up because more kids can apply and take that chance without scores impacting their application. It is so nerve wracking for sure because even looking at the Clemson thread- there seems to be no reason many of those kids would be deferred. I just think they get so many applications that they donât have the time to get through them all.
Good luck everyone!! I have a sophomore there and she absolutely loves it!!
Just received an email they are releasing today
I have a feeling this is going to be Clemson 2.0. Iâm reading the posts above about the drop down menu. It seems to me that if it is still there, it would mean a deferral because if youâre in, you shouldnât be able to make a change.
Agree. It seems like these schools are using just stats for EA decisions, not reviewing the whole app. Although we still have the drop down, my child was invited to apply to the honors school right after they received his application. Not sure what to make of that.
I have to agree with you. Like I said my daughters still shows it and she is regular decision so wont be hearing today
