I think we will hear back before that. I think if you look at the dates that UVA has released in the past, this may have some indication — but it really depends on when the admission deans are done with all of the EA apps. I think last year it may have been January 21st or 22nd. So, this year it could be January 20th or even January 27th (assuming a Friday) or even sometime in between. I just know that it is nice they don’t rush the review of the applications and according to Dean J they read every single application. Hope that helps! And, trust me, my child is very excited to get her decision, when they come out!!

We would like to receive the Mid-Year Report from Early Action applicants who are admitted and deferred.
So my son should only send his mid-year grades if he is either accepted or deferred, as opposed to sending them now to be part of his total application? Thank you for being so available on this site!
I think you can send midyears whenever they are available.
Has anyone else’s SIS to do list updated? I have to submit a FA Certification Form, and two other tax forms. In state early action applicant here!
Yes, my daughter’s was updated and we just saw the to-do list with the items you mentioned yesterday.
I do not see those forms…
Remember that Admission and Financial Aid are completely separate at UVA. They don’t have access to our files and we don’t have access to theirs. If they waited to gather documents until after we finished our process, they wouldn’t have all packages ready for weeks after the May 1 deposit deadline. So they work on packages for all, knowing that some won’t need them.
Get your info to them as soon and keep checking your to-do list.
@dean j - I was looking at the past history of EA decision release dates. I know that January 31 is the official date. It seems that in the past few years the decisions have come 2 fridays before the 31st. I think one year it could have been a Thursday. Of course, I know UVA gets record EA apps and admissions does not rush review, but any feeling on how timing is going this year? I’m thinking we could hear as early as next Friday. This is all so exciting! Thank you for everything. Your updates and time to these boards are so appreciated!

When I login and click on “myUVA,” the thing that pops up says “Registered/Waitlisted.” Does this mean anything?

My daughter’s says “x’s Student Center”, “you are not enrolled in any classes”, “you have no outstanding charges at this time”, then there is a button to click on the bottom that says “View Decision” but then it says “decisions aren’t available, check back on January 31.” Is that what everyone else’s looks like?
@clh7699 When I click on “myevents” the first thing that comes up is that. I don’t think it means anything, I’m just super nervous for my decision haha.
