|| University of Washington Waitlist ||

I was told by the admissions office that they would let is know via email

I feel like it would be super unreasonable to send the waitlist decisions out by postal mail… I live outside of the US (but technically I am not an ‘international student’), so I wouldn’t get the letter until at least a month after they send it

Has anyone’s portals updated yet?? Mine hasn’t but usually it’s an indicator whether you’re in or not

my portal still says
"Thank you for applying for admission to the Seattle campus of the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2017. We will inform you when a decision is made on your application.

If further information is needed, we will contact you via the email address listed below; please make sure your email address is valid. Check this site occasionally for information about your application. This message will not change unless additional information is required or until a final admission decision is made."

The portal never updated to tell me I was waitlisted

I mean the unofficial transcript trick that worked with original admission. Has anybody’s updated?

@emmalorrissa mine hasn’t updated since April. It says my application is still in the full review process.

@emmalorrissa whats the unofficial transcript trick?

Here is the link to the unofficial transcript trick: https://sdb.admin.uw.edu/enroll/uwnetid/

@tischhhhhbishhhh

I was wait listed and was wondering if anyone had received their decision yet. Is it true they are sending acceptance letters by mail and rejection by email? I also don’t understand the unofficial transcript trick thing. It doesn’t work for me, can someone explain.

Has anyone heard back yet?

i havent heard anything.

Haven’t heard anything either

I contacted them and they said all decisions will be emailed

Was this for Seattle or Tacoma campus

Seattle

Has anyone gotten in yet???

I haven’t. I heard no body has because they haven’t made any decisions yet

I haven’t heard anything either. I called last Friday and was told that they had not made any changes to the waitlist yet.

Is it that the havent found anyone they like from the waitlist or just that they just havent done it??

if they haven’t decided it is more likely to mean that they have few places and a lot of competitive applicants. This year the UW got a lot of applications and accepted more people which means they have less places on wait list. They also wait listed a lot of people they normally would not have wait listed. There are competitive people and few places which is making it difficult.
