Unofficial Transfer Nyu Thread

hey,
i got accepted to NYU (CAS) on friday....very VERY excited about this.

good luck to you all

congrats girly girl! are you going for sure? where are you now?

still not sure... i have to see if i get into tufts

but nyu offered to let me study abroad next semester if i wanted to

ahhhh tempting

ahhhhhhh I called NYU admissions today and they told me that i should be expecting a decision in the next week or two... which is exactly what they told me 2 weeks ago! =(

If I don't get in.. I'm sure i'll deal with it one way or another... but all I want is CLOSURE! Its really stressful waiting for a decision, especially when I only have a week and a half left at my school! =(

I totally see where you're coming from. Here's my piece of advice though: Stop calling them. They're just going to rile up your anxieties and leave you more nervous than before. The letter will have to come eventually... I hope anyway! For some reason, I feel it will be this week..

My brother dropped a calculus class and he's a liberal arts major, but he hasn't informed the school, will it be relevent to admissions, or should he just wait out the two weeks to see if he got in or not before telling them, he already has well over 60 credits from other classes.

Has anyone mailed in the NYU reply card and officially accepted or declined admission? I just officially declined admission because they gave me practically no aid. NYU is a very good school, but it's not worth 40k a year. Just curious to see the reasoning behind other people's decisions.

I just received a email from someone named Emily Dolan..has anyone else recieved an email from them? it seems strange that they sent an email, not letter?

Your application for admission to NYU is complete. At this point,

we will need to review your final grades from Spring Semester 2005. You may
send a transcript to my attention in the admissions office or fax a copy in
the interim to my attention. If your final grades are not available, you
may also send a midterm report.

Thanks,
Emily

Yeah, I officially declined admission a few days ago. Same reasons. I got into Berkeley and it was half the price and on my side of the country, so that was that.

I called NYU yesterday and they told me they made a decision on my application, and was sent out last friday... I live in new york.. so it doesn't make sense that I didnt get anything. I should of gotten something on tuesday or wednesday... and its thursday today T_T.....

Anyone else hear anything yet? I know two of my friends that got their decision on monday and tuesday. All of them were rejected =(

Do you guys think maybe NYU sent out all the rejection letters?

They told you that they made a decision? They wouldn't even tell me that.

They told me my application was under review (STILL) I think it's been under review for...over two weeks now?!?? I feel like that second tier rumor could be true. That's me being hopeful anyway. Their process could be entirely random after all.

I Got In!!!!!!! :)

yayayayayyy congrats!

Thanks!! You too!! Let us know if you decide to go to NYU or Tufts! :)

Accepted to Stern as a transfer. Transfered from Community College.
