I applied on Thanksgiving Day last year and my last name starts with an S.
Got in today, I applied right around the deadline and my last name starts with A.

@Gowolfpacks18 I’m registered for 5 right now. I’m transferring w/ an associate’s from a NC community college so all of my lower division requirements (except foreign language and physical fitness) should be satisfied. Plus I’m a bit OCD and have been researching my major, minor, etc. for like six months, so I know what I need I’m banking that two of my history courses will also transfer as the related electives for archaeology as well (the undergrad bulletin lists them as such). It wasn’t intentional, but it is fine with me!!!

@ShovelBum18 wow that is awesome! I wasn’t expecting to get into unc so I wasn’t as prepared as you lol. But I looked on the admissions blog and saw that you can Skype with an advisor and other things!! I don’t think it has set in yet that I’m going to unc in a few months lol

Darn I got wait-listed, but my cumulative is a 2.23 from years of bad choices and I took 4 years off from school. The last 2 years my GPA is 3.53 with great EC’s, 2 LOR’s, and my essays were well written. I am staying positive and accepting my wait-list spot. I only have two classes this semester General Biology and Statistics both I have a chance to make A’s in them.
Does anybody know how long it takes to hear back being on a wait?

I’m really surprised. I didn’t expect to get in. For some reason now, though, I’m kind of freaking out about the offer being rescinded because I might get something like a 3.6 GPA this semester, which is not on par with my earlier stats. Am I just being paranoid/do they only rescind if you screw up big-time? Lol. Not even expecting any C’s.
