Unusual situation, thoughts?

What do you think my chances are of getting into Ivy League universities + Duke, UChicago, Stanford and MIT?

International student
My SAT superscore is 2150 /730 math, 670 reading, 750 writing/
SAT II Math and Physics are both 750+

My GPA is perfect and my ECs are strong
I would need financial aid

Thank you in advance!

All Reaches unfortunately. Definitely try to get your SATI score up.

Thanks for the opinion. Any other thoughts?

Admission into those schools is very competitive and hundreds of kids each year with perfect GPAs and high SAT scores get rejected all the time. You have a good chance but nothing is certain. I do agree that getting your SAT score up another 100 points wouldn’t hurt.

Those schools are all reaches for anyone who applies.

You are competitive, but you’d be more so with a better CR on the SAT.

Have you tried the ACT? Foreign students often do better on it than on the SAT.

I don’t see anything unusual about your situation, but you got me to click on this thread. You have a bright future in internet marketing waiting for you after college. ;-)

Haha thanks DreamSchlDropout… Thanks to you too hopeful360.

Yeah, I know those schools are reaches for almost anyone. As for my SAT score, I am confident in raising the mathematics, but not the reading so retaking may backfire.

I am a minority when it comes to nationality and, moreover, I live in a town of 20,000 people. Neverhteless, I have accomplished a lot given my situation when it comes to extracurriculars. So, this might be my biggest advantage?

Provided I write perfect essays and get perfect recommendations, do you think I still have a chance?

How is your situation “unusual”?

Sadly, your status as an international student will hurt you during the admission process. What is your nationality?

I thought my situation was unusual because of my underrepresented country, which is a developing country in Eastern Europe. I may be wrong.

Sadly or not, I cannot change my nationality.

You definitely have a chance.

Being a foreign admit will make getting financial aid difficult, though. I recommend you also give some consideration to top universities in other countries that may prove less expensive.

Thank you all for the responses!

I’ll do my best in writing my essays. As for the SAT, I will consider retaking but I am not sure I will. @DreamSchlDropout I know it will be very hard but it has been my aim for a few years and I will give it a shot. Nevertheless, I am apllying to universities in other countries, as well.
