whoa really? nice i really hope i got off the waitlist! 17 people got in from my school, a couple got waitlisted. 3 aren’t going, so hopefully i get lucky and can get off the waitlist

@Green How did your friend find out? E-mail or did they call?

FUUU. i checked online and the decision says I didn’t accept the waitlist offer D: IM SO WORRIED. i clicked yes last month! im about to cry man… D:

@nhiyenvo I’m really sorry to hear that. You could try contacting the admissions office – it might just be a website glitch.

hopefully! im done crying now and trying to contact admissions but they’re closed so ill have to try monday. for mine i can still click on deny! and hit submit! i don’t understand this at all! why is that option still there if i chose accept? can anyone still select deny and the submit button?

nhiyenvo

My portal allows me to do the same thing…but at the top of the page it says thank you for accepting our wait list offer.

yea. I thought it was strange. I’m like why can I still hit the deny and submit button? I accepted already like last month and it says thank you for staying on the waitlist. i tried it again today and the deny option WAS STILL THERE and the submit button was still there. And out of stupidity and curiosity, I hit deny and submit today , now it won’t let me change it! ***? I’m soo stupid…

@Green what state is your friend from?

@Green I don’t mean to doubt you, but how is that possible. According to the article, Penn already has an overenrollment problem and they said they are only going to keep 100 people on the waitlist and deny the rest.

my friend also got in off waitlist today.!!! From northern NJ. She checked her email and got the whole “congratulations” message and when she checks penn portal it says her name adress college of arts and science financial aid info etc. we also read that article the other day and were like no way but i guess it happened!! She did it!! Good luck to everyone else remain hopeful!

Congrats to all accepts! Any Whartons yet?

From New Jersey!!! Got the congrats email!! She’s brilliant she deserved to not be wait listed… So happy for her!!! Good luck to everyone else!

Then I guess the article was not totally right or perhaps some students who already secured a spot got off the waitlist of HYP. Sorry for doubting @Green. Congrats on everyone who gets admitted!

I just got in off the waitlist! there’s still hope everyone

CONGRATS!!! what time did you guys get the good news?

Btw, @DarkFlame Thanks, mannn Yeah, I think WashU and Hopkins are similar in some aspects (Right now, all I can think of is that they’re both known for their strong pre-med programs and the cities they’re located in are often considered horrible - correct me if I’m wrong, though.) Hey, to hell with those people who underestimate us We were handpicked from 20k-30k ++ applicants.

Congrats to all who have been admitted? Are all of y’all from new jeresy?

So far - two from NJ I don’t know where temaaoao is from.

Wow, if they’re accepting this early then quite a lot must have rescinded their admission.

I’ll keep a tally haha:
- Green’s friend - NJ
- purple’s friend - NJ
- temaaoao

Since the article did say that at the end of this week reviews on wait list students would be done it could be that they sent out acceptances first since there were a small number. Sorry I’m being such a downer but I’m just trying not to get my hopes up too high but it is weird that they’re accepting so early

I also feel that it’s weird, considering they over-enrolled by 12 students. But maybe some space opened up one way or another - I dunno. The few ones accepted must have been the super cream of the crop, though. @lucya don’t worry - you’re just being realistic.

I wonder if anyone is released today?
