Interviewing and reading your application is two separate processes. The interview coordinator is in charge of the interviewing process. Whether or when you get the interview does not reflect the strength of your application.
@beautifulpasta @f2000sa The question wasn’t if the time or availability of an interview signifies the university’s interest in you; we know that is not the case.
But @beautifulpasta , from what I’ve understood from alumni interviewers, Penn does sometimes make decisions before interviews.

Do we have an update on notification date? I know a bunch of people were told by their interviewers that it would be Dec 13th but do we have an official date? If not, when will it come out?

How much weight does legacy have for Penn?
Meaningful help in the ED round. Not given much weight in the RD pool. (They want to know legacy applicants are committed to coming.) That said, it is only a positive influence, not a slam dunk factor. Unfortunately, many legacy (or even double legacy) candidates who are not admitted.

Last year I’m pretty sure ED applicants were notified December 5th of the official decision day.

@CCTA334 They probably wont release the info until after ED decisions, or even after RD decisions
@G_2019LAG ED applicants were notified on Dec 13 last year, Questbridge is earlier though
