Please help me with this silly question.

Do I have to send a separate invitation to recommenders for EVERY single college I'm applying to or not? I've asked this before but never got a clear answer. Hoping someone who knows for sure will help me out.

I don’t think so, if you’re using Naviance. Otherwise I’m not sure

The common app will ask you for specific names, to send a link. Any non common app schools will also ask for the names of recommenders, to send a link. If your school uses Naviance, this will be handled through that portal. If not, the teacher will likely have to submit once to common app for all CA schools and then separately to each non-common app school.

I believe that the GC has to help you through Naviance, if your school uses it. My son gave his recommenders a general list, but it changed by the time he sent in his applications.

The teacher has to get it into Naviance first, but once it is in, the GC has to do the work to link it to your application and submit it.

@rhandco, I have no idea what Naviance is… International here.

If you don’t use Naviance, and even if you did, see your GC for help with the Common App. They can answer that question, or use the online Common App help desk. I got a response back from them quickly on Saturday, and what they say is more important than what we say.
